But good habits and a well-established routine can help you make the choices you are trying to stick to, she told CNN earlier. Habits are behaviors people engage in without conscious thought and are reinforced through repetition, social psychologist Wendy Wood told CNN in a previous article. Try to sleep better: Babies and young children often have a specific routine every night to help them sleep better — maybe it’s a bath, a few books, a song and a snuggle. Grown-ups need that, too, clinical psychologist and sleep expert Michael Grandner told CNN earlier. If you want more impactful wellness habits you can build into your routine, look for more CNN articles every week this National Wellness Month covering sleep, exercise, food and mindfulness.

I supervised judges presiding over a wide spectrum of cases, dealing with complex legal issues, angry victims, difficult defendants and intense media scrutiny. And since Donald Trump was found guilty on 34 counts, Justice Merchan has come under further vicious attack. As a retiree, I was able to attend each day of the Trump trial. Since the indictment over the cover-up of hush-money payments was issued last year, Justice Merchan has been subjected to an unrelenting pressure campaign. Most judges strive to maintain their composure under the greatest of stress, but few succeed — yet Justice Merchan remained cool, calm and collected at every step of the trial.

New York CNN —The New York Stock Exchange opens every workday morning at 9:30 am ET with the fast-paced bang-clang of a gleaming brass bell. The stock exchange, the largest in the world by market capitalization, has opened with sonic fanfare for more than 150 years. From Wall Street to the Nasdaq Exchange in Times Square to the Chicago Board Options Exchange, loud, ringing bells bookend each trading session. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures (WTI) led the charge, rising above $95 for the first time since August last year. Brent crude futures climbed 77 cents, or 0.8%, to $97.32 a barrel after hitting levels not seen since November. U.S. crude stocks fell by 2.2 million barrels last week to 416.3 million barrels, government data showed, far exceeding the 320,000-barrel drop analysts expected in a Reuters poll. Crude stocks at the Cushing, Oklahoma, storage hub, delivery point for U.S. crude futures, fell by 943,000 barrels in the week to just under 22 million barrels, the lowest since July 2022, data showed. "We expect as near-term oil prices continue to push higher a reduction of current supply cuts is increasingly likely," National Australian Bank's analysts said in a note.

LAS VEGAS, Sept 17 (Reuters) - Mexican fighter Alexa Grasso celebrated her nation's independence day in unusual fashion, holding on to her UFC flyweight title after fighting to a seldom-seen split draw against former champion Valentina Shevchenko on Saturday. Grasso, who beat Shevchenko by submission in March to win the title, topped the card at the T-Mobile Arena at the Noche UFC event, which had a strong Mexican flavor due to it taking place on Sept. 16, the day Mexicans celebrate their independence. Shevchenko said she thought she won the fight three rounds to two and that the Mexican celebration may have influenced the scoring. "I did a lot of damage ... all of my punches were hard, and yes, I'm the winner. The close nature of the fight has already led to calls from fans for a third match, but Grasso was non-committal when asked about that prospect.
