The airline announced a “first-of-its-kind partnership” with Shake Shack to serve the chain’s cheeseburgers in first class on long-distance domestic flights beginning December 1 on flights out of Delta’s hub in Boston and expanding to other cities throughout 2025. For example, Alaska Airlines created a hot coffee that tastes better in the skies, while United Airlines added cold brew coffee from Illy. Delta has served a generic cheeseburger in first class over the past few years to mostly positive reviews online. And it’s not the first airline to partner with a burger chain — United Airlines once served McDonald’s Happy Meals in the 1990s. The partnership between Delta and Shake Shack marks an expansion of the airline’s relationship with celebrated chef Danny Meyer, who founded the burger brand in 2004.

Rival firms include ZoomInfo Sales, Trajaan and Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence, all of which deploy a variety of technology to comb through consumer data and marketing trends. Somsubhra Gan Choudhuri, co-founder and CEO Ai Palette, said AI can take up much of the brain power usually done by people. Using its patented digital fingerprint technology, ProfilePrint can rapidly analyze the identity and quality of ingredients, helping agribusinesses save money and time. The problem, he explained, is a system of multiple rounds of physical food samples exchanged between buyer and sellers, replicated across "every part of the supply chain." Machine learning means the technology analyzes food samples at a molecular level and recognizes food quality within seconds. As well predicting the quality and flavor profiles, the company's ingredient quality platform can offer their client various options when it comes to balancing quality with price. Profile Print is not alone within the still embryonic pool of food quality and AI startups.

Detailed below is how a second Trump presidency is expected to impact American wallets. Trump's plan to cut the corporate tax rate is generally viewed as bullish for earnings, particularly for the consumer-discretionary, communication-services, and financial sectors. Further, if Trump's presidency is inflationary and leads to interest-rate hikes, that would hit housing affordability in the form of higher mortgage rates, which track the Federal Reserve's benchmark. AdvertisementThe former president has also said he plans to extend his slew of tax cuts from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 — also known as the "Trump tax cut." Trump's plan for universal tariffs is seen as offsetting a positive tax impact and would be especially costly for lower-earning Americans.

Three global alcoholic beverage makers are likely to see a "negative impact" from a Republican victory in the U.S. election due to the potential for trade tariffs, according to TD Cowen analysts. Guinness maker Diageo would be one of the companies to be impacted by a "smaller degree," according to the bank's analysts. These tariff measures were relaxed by the EU in early 2022, but are expected to be reinstated and doubled to 50% in 2025. STZ 5Y line Diageo Tariffs could "hit multiple areas of the business" at Diageo, TD Cowen analysts said.
