Stefon Diggs is looking forward to cooling down during the NFL’s off season—and seeking some thrills. “They’ve got this thing in Vegas where you can jump off a building and land on your feet, so I’m probably about to do that,” said Diggs, 29, a starting receiver for the Buffalo Bills. The season, which ended with a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in the playoffs, was an unusually trying one for the Bills. On Jan. 2, safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field after making a tackle and suffering cardiac arrest. As a team captain, Diggs had to lead his teammates through many days of fear and uncertainty.
The next-youngest quarterback duo was Joe Montana and Dan Marino, who faced off at Super Bowl 19 at a combined age of 51 years and 350 days, according to ESPN, in 1985. Hurts will become the first member of Gen-Z to start in a Super Bowl, with Pew Research Center defining his generation as those born in 1997 or later. He has plenty of company among high-achieving young quarterbacks. "To find some stability in that position is like finding a massive gold nugget," ESPN analyst and retired twice Super Bowl champion Rob Ninkovich told Reuters. The Kansas City Chiefs play the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 57 on Feb. 12.
The least expensive Super Bowl tickets are at least $4,000, with average prices between $7,000 and $10,000. Adding the cost of air travel, a hotel, and food could bring a Super Bowl trip for two over $20,000. For those with disposable income, the Super Bowl could be a good time to upgrade your home's entertainment options. An August report provided options for dozens of couches to upgrade the comfort of your Super Bowl watching experience and your living room. SnacksStaying home provides the opportunity to cook a preferred Super Bowl snack rather than waiting in long lines and paying stadium prices.
According to season-ending data compiled by the NFL, there were a total of 149 concussions suffered over 271 regular season games, representing a significant increase over 2021. Medical teams performed an average of 1.6 evaluations per game last season, while medical timeouts called by spotters and officials nearly doubled. "We are doing more evaluations than ever and we did change the protocol, becoming more conservative, and we had more medical timeouts and continue to emphasis player self report." While concussions were up the number of overall injuries was down 5.6%. Despite signs of a concussion, the Miami quarterback was allowed to return to the game after passing the league mandated protocol.
My research found that Pelosi eats ice cream for breakfast, hot dogs for lunch, pasta, and chocolate. Chocolate ice cream for breakfast, rich and creamy pasta, and lots of snacking chocolate. She claims she does not exercise; her daughter once arrived home to find her mother eating chocolate ice cream while using a stationary bike. I save the ice cream for later to avoid a massive sugar crash and start out with a cup of black tea instead. However, I don't want to slack off after the ice cream episode, so I slather it on.
Now, Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts will be the first Black QBs to face off in a Super Bowl. Hurts aims to become the fourth Black QB to win the Super Bowl, joining Williams, Mahomes and Russell Wilson. Steve McNair, Colin Kaepernick, Cam Newton and Wilson also started in the Super Bowl and lost. “I don’t think we have any cigars, but we’ll be ready to go at the Super Bowl,” Mahomes said, poking fun at Joe Burrow’s penchant for puffing those after big wins. Whether it’s Hurts or Mahomes, it’s another victory for the Black QBs who were overlooked throughout the years.
Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is lifted in the air after his game-winning field goal. KANSAS CITY, Mo.—The sardonic nickname that Cincinnati Bengals players had given Arrowhead Stadium made the rounds so quickly over the course of the past week that it even made its way into the Chiefs’ lexicon. “See y’all at Burrowhead,” Kansas City defensive tackle Chris Jones said in an apparent bid to mock the term.

"They're a great football team," said Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Eagles.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is celebrating his latest win with his wife Brittany. The Kansas City Chiefs selected Patrick in the first round of the NFL Draft in April 2017. She also became a part owner of Kansas City's women's soccer team when the National Women's Soccer League expanded to the city in 2020. I think the people are what we love the most about Kansas City," Mahomes said. On Sunday, Mahomes led the Chiefs to victory against the Bengals to secure a slot in the 2023 Super Bowl.

"It was important for me to wait and speak publicly at the right time, as it was just a lot to process within my own self. Mentally, physically, even spiritually, it's just been a lot to process," Hamlin said in a lengthy Instagram video. "I can't tell you how appreciative I am of all the love, all the support and everything that's just been coming in my way." "My mind is literally blown away from all the support. I don't even have the words to express the gratitude for the amount of support that was given into that," said Hamlin.
The notion that powerful forces control the world in part with the careful deployment of body doubles is a long-standing conspiracy theory. As a medical team worked on him, anti-vaccine activists flooded social media sites with unfounded claims that a vaccine was somehow to blame. Hamlin’s injury came during a surge in anti-vaccine misinformation that attributes any recent death, without evidence, to vaccines. Much of the misinformation came from a handful of serial misinformers, including longtime anti-vaccine activists, conspiracy theorists and podcasters. While still recovering, Hamlin has tweeted a photo of himself in front of a mural painted in his honor., seemingly winking at the conspiracy theory.

"Complete game from everybody - offense, defense and special teams," said Burrow, who threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns. The Bengals will return next Sunday to Kansas City for a rematch of last year's AFC Championship game against the Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, which the Bengals won 27-24 in an overtime thriller. Hamlin was spotted entering the Bills locker room, ahead of the Bills-Bengals playoff game. Buffalo was playing at Cincinnati on "Monday Night Football" on Jan. 2 when Hamlin appeared to make a routine tackle of Bengals receiver Tee Higgins. Hamlin got up from the tackle and then appeared to go limp and fall backward.
Jan 22 (Reuters) - Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin received a standing ovation from fans at the Bills-Bengals game on Sunday when video screens showed him in attendance at the contest less than three weeks after he suffered an on-field cardiac arrest. Prior to kickoff, the Bills tweeted a video of the 24-year-old arriving at stadium for the game with his mother, father and younger brother. Hamlin has made a remarkable recovery since he collapsed moments after making a tackle at a game between the Bengals and Bills in Cincinnati on Jan. 2. He had to have his heartbeat restored on the field as stunned players from both teams cried, prayed and hugged. He suffered a cardiac arrest moments after making a tackle and had to have his heartbeat restored on the field (here). In the UK, Dr Steven Cox, chief executive of charity Cardiac Risk on the Young (CRY), also told Reuters via email that sudden cardiac death in young people “is sadly not a new phenomenon”. The authors also noted that this was “likely... a significant underestimate” of the true incidence of cardiac death in the young. Another study published in 2022 by PLOS medicine found acute COVID-19 was associated with a 5.8x increased risk of cardiovascular disease, including a 6.4x increased risk of atrial arrythmias in the month after infection. Experts say there is no research that shows a link between COVID-19 vaccines and athletes collapsing or dying from sudden cardiac arrest.
