Five new arrests have been made over the violence surrounding a soccer game last week involving an Israeli team, Dutch police said Monday. The five men are "suspected of public acts of violence against persons Thursday night," police in the Dutch capital Amsterdam said Monday. The violence has been condemned as targeted antisemitic attacks by authorities in Israel and the Netherlands, which authorities said saw small groups on foot and scooters commit hit-and-run assaults on Israeli fans. Thirteen research monkeys were on the loose Monday after an additional five of the 43 primates that escaped from a research lab in South Carolina last week were captured unharmed, authorities said. The discoveries on Monday — first there were three, then two more — mean 13 of the Rhesus macaques remain outside the Alpha Genesis Primate Research Center in the town of Yemassee, South Carolina. In a statement, the Yemassee Police Department cited Alpha Genesis CEO Greg Westergaard for news of the day's discoveries. Over the weekend, Yemassee police said 25 of the escaped monkeys had been captured safely. Last week's escapees were described as very young Rhesus macaque females weighing just 6 to 7 pounds and, as yet, unexposed to research.

Prabowo, who is in Washington for an official visit, posted the almost three-minute phone conversation on his official social media channels Monday and said he would like to “call personally” on Trump. “Wherever you are I’m willing to fly to congratulate you personally, sir,” Prabowo said in the video. CNN —A group of people carrying Nazi flags demonstrated outside a community theater performance of “The Diary of Anne Frank” in Livingston County, Michigan, in a display of antisemitism. Several masked men showed up waving Nazi flags and reportedly shouted antisemitic and racist slurs outside the American Legion Post 141 in Howell on Saturday during the play, according to CNN affiliate WXYZ. “The Diary of Anne Frank” was published posthumously and has been translated into more than 70 languages in more than 60 nations, with several film and stage adaptations. Her diary is often a teen’s first introduction to the horrors of the Holocaust during World War II. In July, a statue of Anne in a local park was vandalized with the word “Gaza” scrawled in red paint.

Two US Navy destroyers came under attack by the Houthis on Monday. The destroyers USS Stockdale and USS Spruance came under fire as they were transiting the Bab al-Mandab Strait, a strategic maritime chokepoint between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. The Navy repelled multiple Houthi attacks involving at least three anti-ship cruise missiles, five anti-ship ballistic missiles, and eight one-way attack drones, Pentagon Press Secretary Air Force Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder told reporters at a press briefing Tuesday. Earlier, the Houthis said they attacked the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in the Arabian Sea and two unnamed American destroyers in the Red Sea. The attack against the destroyers on Monday marks the latest Houthi attack on Navy warships off the coast of Yemen.
