And TikTok failed to catch ads containing false election information despite its ban on political advertising, according to an October report from Global Witness. On Facebook and Instagram, Meta said it's adding fact-check labels to election content that's been debunked. In sharing dozens of posts a day on X, Musk regularly amplifies false election information to his more than 200 million followers.
