AdvertisementBut all that changed the moment I discovered the Premier Cruises' Premier Princess package on Princess Cruises during a family vacation on the Regal Princess in December. Although my parents, brother, and brother's girlfriend went à la carte with their onboard purchases, my fiancé and I ordered the premier package. Here's why it may be worth considering if you're planning to sail with Princess Cruises. AdvertisementAt first glance, that sounds like a significant additional line item — but not when you compare the included items to the cruise's à la carte costs. If you're keeping tabs, I've now accounted for more than the cost of the premier package with just drinks, gratuities, and WiFi.

For nearly five hours this week, the woman whose encounter with Donald J. Trump resulted in his criminal trial years later has told her side of the story. The woman, Stormy Daniels, answered questions from Manhattan prosecutors for several hours Tuesday before Mr. Trump’s lawyers began cross-examining her, and she will return to the stand Thursday. Defense lawyers are expected to grill her about inconsistencies in her account of a liaison at golf tournament and her motives in divulging it. Ms. Daniels began her testimony by describing how she and Mr. Trump met, a now-infamous encounter just off a fairway in Lake Tahoe, Nev., during a celebrity tournament in July 2006. One was Mr. Trump, the real estate mogul whose fame had skyrocketed as a result of his hosting the reality television show “The Apprentice.”

Defense tapes played in court Thursday have been posted to SoundCloud by Law360. They are recordings of 2018 phone calls between the two lawyers who struck the 2016 hush-money deal. They suggest an alternate reality to the DA's — where Trump is more victim than mastermind. Davidson's surmise — that Cohen was likely taping him at the time — makes a pair of newly-released defense tapes all the more compelling and perplexing. CNBC's Jim Cramer on Thursday said companies that perpetually generate "self-help" are poised to do well in this market. In other words, they find ways to grow and perform well despite what might be happening in the broader economy. "When we're looking for reasons to buy a stock in this environment, we want companies that generate constant self-help. This kind of "self-help" may be the "antidote" to the big-picture worries weighing on the market, Cramer said. "It takes a special kind of stock to do well when the economy's slowing while inflation just won't quit," he said.
