CAIRO, Oct 14 (Reuters) - Israel has launched an air strike against Syria's Aleppo Airport late on Saturday that put it out of service, the Syrian defence ministry said. "The Israeli enemy carried out an air attack from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea, west of Latakia, targeting Aleppo International Airport, which led to material damage to the airport and it being out of service," the ministry added. The airport just got to service on Saturday after simultaneous missile attacks by Israeli forces on the airports in Syria's capital Damascus and the northern city of Aleppo had damaged the runways and put both hubs out of service on Thursday. read moreThe Damascus airport is still out of service. A widely shared video shows the aftermath of an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon on Oct. 9 not, as has been wrongly stated online, Israeli missile strikes on Syrian airports on Oct. 12. Syria said Israeli missiles hit airports in its capital Damascus and the northern city of Aleppo on Oct. 12, damaging runways and putting both hubs out of service. Joukhadar confirmed the film was shot in Lebanon in another X post on Oct. 12, saying: “I filmed this video on Monday 9th of October in Marwahin. This is an Israeli air strike right behind us and it has nothing to do with bombing Damascus!”VERDICTMiscaptioned. While Syria did say its airports were struck by Israeli missiles on Oct. 12, the video shows the aftermath of an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon, not Syria.

REUTERS/Andrew Kelly/File Photo Acquire Licensing RightsCHICAGO, Oct 12 (Reuters) - Delta Air Lines (DAL.N) on Thursday reported stronger-than-expected quarterly profit on strong international travel, but trimmed its full-year outlook due to higher fuel costs. In an interview, he said the demand for Delta's products remain "high" as its customers are in "a very healthy condition." Delta now expects adjusted earnings of $6 to $6.25 per share this year, compared with $6 to $7 per share estimated in July. In the December quarter, the airline expects adjusted earnings in the range of $1.05 to $1.30 per share. A Delta Airlines passenger jet approaches to land at LAX during the outbreak of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Los Angeles, California, U.S., April 7, 2021. Recent strikes by Hollywood talent and United Auto Workers union members are a "drag" on business travel demand, which is otherwise recovering, Delta Air Lines President Glen Hauenstein said Thursday. The strikes have had "a not insignificant change in the business travel to and from Los Angeles as well as now the UAW strike, which curtailed a significant amount of the business in Detroit," Hauenstein said on an earnings call Thursday. But Hollywood actors, represented by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, are still on strike. Delta's Hauenstein noted that demand from technology and financial services customers posted double-digit growth in the third quarter, contributing to an overall rebound for business travel.
