CNN —Authorities are investigating after at least two ballot boxes were set on fire Monday morning in the Portland, Oregon, area. Police responded to a call about a fire in Portland about 3:30 a.m. Monday, the Portland Police Bureau said in a statement. An “incendiary device” was placed inside the box and security personnel extinguished the fire, officials said. A second ballot box was set on fire early Monday morning at a bus station in nearby Vancouver, Washington, according to the Vancouver Police Department. The search for a woman who fell from a Taylor Swift-themed cruise ship in the Bahamas was suspended Wednesday, a day after she went into the water, officials said. The U.S. Coast Guard said Wednesday afternoon that the Royal Bahamas Defence Force was suspending its search pending new developments and that it no longer needed the Coast Guard's assistance. The Coast Guard said it sent an HC-144 airplane and an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter to help. A Royal Caribbean spokesperson said that a search-and-rescue operation was immediate launched and that it is working with local authorities. The trio worked with Royal Caribbean to host private events centered on Swift and her Eras Tour, according to the group's website.
