Misha comes from the small, mountainous Caucasian country of Georgia — located at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Western Asia. We both take a few steps outside our comfort zones; I agree to eat dinner at 8:30 p.m., and Misha agrees to consider a retirement and investment strategy. That's OK as long as we practice negotiation and patience in our quest to appreciate and understand each other's cultures.

CNBC's Jim Cramer on Thursday said it's no secret that the market rally has been driven by a handful of tech stocks, and it's not likely to change anytime soon. Cramer said companies like Nvidia , Apple , Microsoft , Alphabet , Amazon , Oracle and now Broadcom have been integral to the rally. But while tech stocks have been shining, Cramer said other sectors can't quite say the same. For instance, Cramer pointed to the banks, which often serve as a bellwether for the market. It's hard to know where the market would be without the tech sector, he added.

Apple CEO Tim Cook introduces Apple Vision Pro, a mixed reality headset, at Apple Park in Cupertino, CA, on June 5, 2023. What’s the songs-in-your-pocket equivalent for Vision Pro? But so far, if Apple is looking to reclaim its real-world relevance, Vision Pro isn’t it — yet. Let’s hope that at this WWDC, the company defiantly ignores last year’s laughter and continues to look, and think, different.

New York CNN —A class action case challenging the legality of the NFL’s Sunday Ticket package, whose opening arguments are scheduled for Thursday, could shake up television rights deals in professional sports and the way teams make money. The case, first brought in 2015, focuses on the NFL’s package of games outside of a local market that are not shown nationally on other networks. The suit says by restricting broadcasts of those “out-of-market” games to the Sunday Ticket package, the NFL is forcing customers who just want to watch one team or a small group of teams have to pay more. The NFL argues that the current arrangement offers the broadest possible selection of games for fans at a good value. The NFL has been known to settle some high profile cases against it rather than having its practices disclosed and dissected in open court.

Middle managers are becoming an endangered species in Corporate America, with some companies viewing the role as obsolete , writes Business Insider's Lindsay Dodgson. Remote work, tech efficiencies, and a general push to cut costs have contributed to middle managers' demise. It's a strategy Corporate America, particularly Big Tech, deployed in 2023. The "year of efficiency," as Mark Zuckerberg dubbed it, was all about flattening organizations, and middle managers were the ones getting squished . The death of middle managers could also fuel the current dismantling of another cohort: the middle class .

But a number of the jokes touched on his divorce from his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, with whom Brady shares two kids, Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11. It’s hard to believe that, with so many years of experience with both parenthood and global stardom, Brady didn’t foresee that appearing on “The Greatest Roast” would essentially be accepting an invite to have his family skewered. He’s serving as an executive producer of “The Greatest Roast” series, so he clearly stood to benefit from the attention his episode received. Everyone — but especially an executive producer of this very series about roasting people — knows that few topics are off limits in a roast. Maybe he really didn’t see coming how hard this would be on his kids.

Khalil said Columbia never put anything in writing, instead making offers verbally. But without a firm promise, Columbia’s offer didn’t go far enough for Khalil and other protesters, since the university had previously rejected divestment proposals. Khalil said they then presented Columbia with another offer: Rather than dump Israel-tied investments, Columbia could instead divest from weapons manufacturing companies and any companies complicit in violating international law.
