YES KOO CAN FOX | NFL+ pic.twitter.com/eMlvhWUiLq — Atlanta Falcons (@AtlantaFalcons) September 29, 2024Meanwhile, in Indianapolis, it was just like the old days: Joe Flacco going against the Pittsburgh Steelers. True or false: The Colts are more of a threat to win the AFC South this season with Joe Flacco than with Anthony Richardson. Flacco has seen and done it all, and he does bring a veteran presence and poise that can help a team win games. While Richarson, who leads the NFL with six interceptions, is the future, Flacco does give the Colts the best chance to win right now. It is true that Joe Flacco gives the Colts a better chance at the AFC South crown than a limited Anthony Richardson.

Week 3 of the NFL season was filled with impressive wins — some big-time comebacks, teams getting their first victory of the season and more. Here are the teams who came away with the biggest wins of the week. It was a baffling home performance for the Raiders one week after they upset the Ravens. Dalton’s performance not only saves the season for Carolina; it raises even more questions about how poor Young’s performance was in the first two weeks. Niners signal-caller Brock Purdy had an impressive stat line — 22 of 30 for 292 yards and three scores — but couldn’t put away the game late.

Can Darnold continue his resurgence against a Texans defense that ranks third-stingiest in yards allowed and second in sacks through two games? The 16 teams that lost last week look to bounce back with performances that reflect improvement and promise. Rodgers completed 13 of 21 passes for 167 yards, a touchdown and an interception, and the Jets managed just 68 rushing yards. Stroud, the best quarterback from last year’s draft class, and Chicago’s Caleb Williams, the first pick of this year’s draft. Stroud continued to impress in Week 1, throwing for 234 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. After the game, Williams vowed, “I will be better.” Excelling against a talented Texans defense, however, could prove challenging.

CLEVELAND — Deshaun Watson has been accused of sexual assault in a new civil lawsuit brought by a woman who alleges the Cleveland Browns quarterback forced himself on her four years ago when he played with Houston. According to the lawsuit filed Monday in Harris County, the woman is suing Watson for $1 million in damages. The woman, identified only as Jane Doe in the court documents, said the incident took place after she invited Watson to her apartment. The 28-year-old Watson served an 11-game NFL suspension in 2022 for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, stemming from those accusations. Watson has been limited to just 13 starts due to the suspension and a shoulder injury that required surgery last season.

CNN —Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has been accused of sexual assault and battery which allegedly occurred in 2020, according to a civil lawsuit filed Monday by a woman in Harris County, Texas. In the lawsuit obtained by CNN, a woman identified as “Jane Doe” claims that Watson sexually assaulted her in her apartment before a dinner date in October 2020. According to the lawsuit, Watson – who was playing for the Houston Texans at the time – had become angry when he initially couldn’t find the woman’s apartment, yelling at her on the phone. According to the filing, the woman, Jane Doe, said she was terrified. Jane Doe is seeking compensatory and punitive damages in excess of $1 million, the lawsuit states.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — First-time candidate Julius Peppers headlines a 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame class that has a distinctive defensive feel. He was a first-team All-Pro five times in eight seasons and helped San Francisco reach three straight conference title games and one Super Bowl. Freeney was the defensive star on the stellar Colts teams led by Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning. Johnson became the first player to spend the bulk of his career with the Texans to make the Hall of Fame. McMichael had 95 career sacks as a defensive tackle, was selected as an All-Pro in 1985 and ’87 and was a second-teamer two other times.

Farrer is better known as the Timepiece Gentleman, the flashiest online dealer in the $75 billion luxury watch trade. All he needed was the right name for his luxury watch business — something distinctive, something memorable. In his mind, he pictured what the ultimate luxury watch dealer would look like. To launch his career as the Timepiece Gentleman, Farrer boned up on the jargon of horology, from escape wheels and spring barrels to flinques and guilloches. Despite the staggering size of the luxury watch trade, nobody had thought to market its glamour and mystique.

Stroud in the Precision Passing skills challenge, helping the NFC build a 12-6 lead over the AFC on the opening night of the 2024 Pro Bowl Games. It’s the second year for a revamped format that replaced the traditional Pro Bowl tackle football game last winter in Las Vegas. Opening night skills winners each earned three points that count toward their team’s overall score. The Pro Bowl Games conclude Sunday with more skill events, as well as the flag game, which consists of four, 12-minute quarters played on a 50-yard field. Points accumulated during the game will be added to those earned in skill challenges to determine which conference wins the overall competition.
