The Supreme Court may soon consider two cases that could dismantle limits on how close protesters can be to people at abortion clinics and other health care facilities. Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, three abortion clinics have opened in Carbondale. “You can’t have protests on the steps of the Supreme Court,” he said. The death of an American woman in an assisted suicide capsule has led to criminal proceedings being launched against several people in Switzerland. A spokesperson for the U.S. Embassy in Bern said, “We are aware of reports of the death of a U.S. citizen in Switzerland. The device is the brainchild of Philip Nitschke, an Australian physician famous for his work on assisted suicide since the 1990s. Clean energy and clean vehicle companies added nearly 150,000 new jobs in 2023, the first full year of the Inflation Reduction Act, the report found. Of that total, the South added more than 54,000 clean energy jobs, accounting for 36% of all new jobs in the region. Connor Goodwolf (legal name is David Leroy Ross) is an IT consultant who plumbs the dark web as part of his job. So when word got out that the city of Columbus, his hometown, had been breached, Goodwolf did what he does: he poked around online. "Lawsuits against data security researchers are rare," said Raymond Ku, professor of law at Case Western Reserve University. Columbus City Attorney Zach Klein said during a September press conference that the case was "not about freedom of speech or whistleblowing.
