The iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM) is particularly interesting for swing traders, as it tends to trade within predictable ranges over extended periods. Given that IWM is trading at the top of the new trading range, I'm considering a bearish trade on IWM. With $242 as the upper bound of the range, I'll sell a $245 call option, just above the current resistance level. The trade As mentioned earlier, the trade structure I am using here is called a "bear call spread," also known as a "call credit spread". To construct my trade, I need to sell a $245 call option and buy a $250 call option as a single unit.

The iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF (IGV) has been getting a lot of attention, and rightly so. Things have recently accelerated in November, and Tuesday, the IGV Software ETF was one of just three ETFs we track to make new all-time highs. Within the IGV Software ETF, it also has the third biggest weighting, but it's behind both CRM and ORCL. More importantly, MSFT has been noticeably lagging the IGV ETF across various time frames. The potential good news is that: 1. the ratio line remains in a long-term uptrend and 2. the last two oversold conditions happened near major relative trading lows.

The small cap Russell 2000 index contains domestic companies that should benefit in a protectionist, on-shoring environment as long as inflation and rates stay contained. The monthly chart of the Russell 2000 shows a pending breakout from all-time highs of 2,459. Put in simpler terms the Russell 2000 small cap index has underperformed the large cap S & P 500 index for the past 13 years. But some are pointing to an issue with far less power in American politics: transgender rights. Between the 2020 and 2024 elections, transgender rights have become a political flashpoint in the nation’s culture wars. And perhaps nothing stoked more conversation than the issue of transgender girls and women competing in girls and women’s sports. “Please do not blame trans issues or trans people for why we lost,” he wrote on X on Thursday. U.S. government bond yields have surged too, puzzling many market participants. I am going to stick with the contrarian view and bet on rates continuing to move higher. I'll express that through a bearish bet on the iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT) which tracks bond prices. Jeffrey Gundlach stated (post Fed meeting) that interest rates could shoot even higher if Republicans end up controlling the House too.

Adobe (ADBE) , a leader in AI-enhanced creative solutions, is particularly well-positioned to capitalize on this environment. With its superior growth rates and operational margins that set it apart from peers, Adobe's valuation presents a compelling entry point amid strong fundamentals and a supportive administration. This signals that sellers are starting to get exhausted and presents an opportunity for buyers to start stepping in for a strong counter-trend rally.
