President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday said he would nominate Dr. Mehmet Oz — celebrity TV host and former U.S. Senate candidate — as Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services administrator. Oz previously hosted "The Dr. Oz Show," a syndicated daytime television program for more than a dozen years. "America is facing a Healthcare Crisis, and there may be no Physician more qualified and capable than Dr. Oz to Make America Healthy Again," Trump said in a statement Tuesday. Dr. Oz will work closely with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to take on the illness industrial complex, and all the horrible chronic diseases left in its wake. "He will also cut waste and fraud within our Country's most expensive Government Agency, which is a third of our Nation's Healthcare spend, and a quarter of our entire National Budget."

Now may be the time for investors to buy shares of BioNTech , according to Evercore ISI. On Monday, his cousin, Caroline Kennedy called his views on vaccines "dangerous" and said they're rejected by his family. This "chaos," however, presents a buying opportunity for investors, Evercore ISI Cory Kasimov wrote Tuesday. "The u/g call is a combination of opportunism, value (both relative & absolute), and an increasingly compelling fundamental outlook around the company's deep and staggered oncology pipeline." Analysts are mostly bullish on the stock, with 13 of 19 rating it a strong buy or buy rating, per LSEG data.

CNN —President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet picks are unique for many reasons. Kennedy brings his addiction worldview to prescription drugs such as those overseen by the Food and Drug Administration, which he would oversee if confirmed as HHS secretary. But Musk denied allegations of past drug use as reported in The Wall Street Journal early this year. Federal employees are barred from taking illegal drugs, and there are no reports to indicate that any of Trump’s Cabinet or other administration picks are using illegal drugs. CNN has reported that this year, Trump’s team is bypassing long and cumbersome FBI background checks for some of his Cabinet picks.

That gender gap stands out for a few reasons:First, there's a much narrower gender divide (51% male and 46% female) among working US journalists, per a 2022 Pew survey. In Pew's analysis, there was a much smaller (and flipped) gender gap in the overall audience for news content on social media among young people. And by the way, I do believe that President Trump has the ability to pick some really, really good people. We've seen what they've done to President Trump, we've seen the attacks that they continue to go after him with. That's - that’s being taken completely out of context. And President Trump hasn't been the one that weaponized the DOJ to go after his political enemies. I think that's a pretty controversial pick, from whatever pronoun that he or he - he or she decides to use.

"I have said that there's, there's some positives to vaccinations. And if it isn't vaccines, there's no -- nothing wrong with actually taking a hard look and finding out, is that's what's causing it? Recess appointments would allow the president-elect to place the House and Senate into recess so that he could appoint his nominees without having to go through the traditional Senate confirmation process. It's something that the Senate strives to avoid and it's why the chamber gavels into pro-forma sessions even while they're in recess. "It'd be the absolute last resort," Mullin told Welker.
