CNN —Carrying lunch into the office from home can be one way to save money — except, perhaps, when it is stored in Pharrell Williams’ Louis Vuitton sandwich bag costing over $3,000. Model Anna Ewers carried the sandwich bag during Pharrell Williams' debut show for Louis Vuitton in Paris in June 2023. Tech company Entrupy says its device can authenticate handbags from brands like Louis Vuitton and Chanel. The AI authenticator is gaining renewed interest as companies seek to cash in on the AI hype. LONDON, Nov 16 (Reuters) - Britain's Burberry (BRBY.L) said it was being hit by a global slowdown in luxury spending and it would struggle to meet its annual revenue forecast of low double-digit growth, with a knock-on impact on profit, if it continued. Demand in China, however, fell away in the second quarter from a strong bounce back from the impact of COVID lockdowns. Burberry said spending by Chinese luxury consumers had shifted overseas from mainland China. Tourist growth benefited European destinations, it said, with just over half of spending in the region coming from international visitors. But a weak performance in the Americas worsened in the quarter, with comparable store sales down 10%.

CNN —Julia Fox’s press tour for her tell-all memoir “Down the Drain” has been in full swing this month, which means ample opportunity for the actor, model and newly christened author to go full on, well, Julia Fox. But on Tuesday, Fox stepped out in London in a look that can’t be overlooked: a literal plastic dry-cleaning bag, held up by a loop around her neck like a halter dress. Fox paired the garment bag with what appears to be elastic-waist shorts, J.Lo-worthy stiletto knee-high boots and a structured purse, all in cream. Julia Fox does dry-cleancore. Whatever the reasoning behind Fox’s latest head-turning moment, it fits the old adage that a model could still look good in a brown paper bag.

A fit pic provocateur, full-time flaneur and occasional stylist, Beenslackin, 24, was born Menelik Demissie in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and moved to Brookline, Mass. Over the last three years, he’s made a name as a street-level avant-gardist, dressing in chaotically ecstatic single-designer outfits (Rick Owens, Margiela, Louis Vuitton and, most recently, Balenciaga and Vetements) with ease, confidence and, crucially, a lack of preciousness. His natural gift with unnatural silhouettes has earned the admiration of Lil Uzi Vert among others, and lately he’s been extending his experimentation to the body itself. You can find him stomping around downtown, pant hems dragging and decaying behind him, sometimes cradling his tiny dog, Keiko. This interview has been edited and condensed.
