CNN —A US soldier who was critically injured over the summer while on the temporary Gaza pier mission died last week, the Army said Monday. Quandarius Davon Stanley, was one of three US service members injured in non-combat incidents during the mission, though two were immediately returned to duty after suffering minor injuries. “Stanley was injured while supporting the mission that delivered humanitarian aid to Gaza in May 2024 and was receiving treatment in long-term care medical center,” Capt. A soldier stationed in Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri has been charged with murder in the death of a sergeant whose body was found inside a dumpster at the base, officials said. A New York woman and two children, including an infant, died after going over Niagara Falls this week, state police said. The incident occurred about 9 p.m. Monday, near Goat Island, state police said in a statement. The 33-year-old woman and the two children, a 9-year-old and a 5-month-old, were all from Niagara Falls, state police said. State police did not specify in the statement the relationship between the woman and the children. An investigation determined the woman and children crossed over a safety guard rail and went over Niagara Falls on Luna Island, which is attached to Goat Island, according to state police.
