Kennedy, Jr. Lizza, Politico’s chief Washington correspondent and Playbook co-author, wasn’t in attendance at a court hearing Tuesday where Nuzzi was granted a temporary no-contact order against him. Lizza hasn’t responded to the allegations in court, but he did provide a statement to CNN after being informed about the court action. WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Friday rejected independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s attempt to appear on New York’s general election ballot. Kennedy, who has dropped his own presidential campaign and endorsed Republican nominee Donald Trump, is fighting to appear on ballots in certain states over Democratic opposition. Kennedy’s lawyers said a state court was wrong in concluding that he could not appear on the ballot because of a dispute over his place of residence. CNN —New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted on at least one federal criminal charge, multiple sources familiar with the matter tell CNN. The indictment follows a monthslong federal investigation into campaign fundraising violations and foreign influence. The NYPD on Friday released body-worn camera footage from a weekend shooting at a Brooklyn subway station that started as a confrontation between police and an apparent fare-beater who they have said charged at officers with a knife. According to police and surveillance video from the station, Mickles jumped a turnstile at the subway station just after 3 p.m. Sunday, right in front of two officers. When a train pulls into the station, Mickles backs onto it once the doors open. New York City ranks as the priciest city in the U.S. to retire, according to WalletHub's 2024 analysis of the best and worst places to retire. Following NYC, the two Hawaiian destinations that offer the highest quality of life for retirees — Pearl City and Honolulu — tied for second place. The median rental price for a one-bedroom apartment hit $4,500 a month in August, per Zumper's latest data. That's pretty steep compared with the national median rental price of $1,534 for a one-bedroom and $1,915 for a two-bedroom. The median rental price for all bedroom types in Manhattan is $5,000 versus $4,209 in Brooklyn, according to Zumper.

But the Newcomers Football Club, an impromptu team made up of asylum-seekers, has helped provide him with a joy that erases his stress. And they were looking for a place to play soccer – an almost universal cornerstone of their daily routines back home. Leonard had never worked with refugees or asylum-seekers before, and he had never played soccer.
