Obama says he "didn't fully appreciate" Michelle's mothering of daughters while he was president. Obama told CBS Mornings that being out of the White House has helped his marriage with Michelle. In an interview with CBS Mornings, Obama said that while he was engaged as a father, he "did not fully appreciate" how difficult it was for Michelle to mother their children, Malia and Sasha, during his presidency. Since departing the White House and seeing Malia and Sasha all grown up, Obama said Michelle is now "a little more forgiving of all my flaws." "Let me just say this, it sure helps to be out of the White House," he laughed.

Richard, a content creator from Canada, traveled to Hong Kong to become a model and fell in love with her husband, Tom, there. During that time, the pui yuet makes dishes catering to the mother’s physical needs and helps her with milk production and other concerns. Few entities track the pricing of nannies in Hong Kong on a consistent basis because most negotiations are directly between clients and the nannies.

The Artist’s Mind What it feels like for female artists to wrestle with ambition, ego, ambivalence and inheritance. That isolation has, historically, been especially true for women artists, some of the most celebrated of whom have seen “writer” or “painter” or “filmmaker” treated as a secondary part of their identity. For this issue, we asked legendary female artists to tell us about a younger woman whose work excites them and gives them hope. But for the current generation of women artists, who have come of age with models who more closely resemble them, identity seems more like a source of community than a trap. Women artists, born into a Babylon of exclusion and possibility, reveal that creative inheritance is as promiscuous as legal inheritance is strict.

Yet, in “Till,” filmmaker Chinonye Chukwu offers viewers a different window into Emmett’s life through the perspective of his poised and graceful mother, Mamie Till-Mobley (Danielle Deadwyler). But for Black mothers like Mamie, this is a different sort of anxiety. Through Deadwyler’s powerful performance, viewers will feel the palpable fear of Black mothers knowing they can never fully protect their Black children in white America. It is a manic fury that destroys Black lives and inflicts irreparable harm on our community, especially on the psyches of Black mothers. But for Black mothers like Mamie, this is a different sort of anxiety.
