Google Maps app can be seen on a mobile phone. Google is disabling live traffic conditions in Israel and Gaza on its Maps and Waze apps, a spokesperson said Tuesday. "Anyone navigating to a specific place will still get routes and ETAs that take current traffic conditions into account." The spokesperson said Google is working with local authorities as part of the ongoing Israel-Hamas War. Google similarly disabled Maps live traffic data in Ukraine last year at the start of the Russia-Ukraine War, according to Reuters.

It turned off live traffic updates in Ukraine, reportedly because the apps were being used to track military movements. Google Maps' live traffic updates work by getting data from smartphones that have the app installed. Those in the area will still be able to use Google Maps and Waze to help with navigation.

New York CNN —Google is temporarily disabling live traffic conditions on its mapping service apps, Google Maps and Waze, in Israel, the tech company confirmed Monday, as the country prepares for a potential ground invasion into Gaza. A Google spokesperson said the company consulted several sources that included regional and local authorities to make the assessment. However, Google did not say whether the tools would be disabled in Israel, Gaza or both. In Ukraine, Google temporarily disabled real-time vehicle data. Google Maps added that “anyone navigating to a specific place will still get routes and ETAs that take current traffic conditions into account.”Google acquired Israeli mapping service Waze in 2013 and merged both product teams in 2022.

The parks are increasing a wide variety of prices for passes, effective immediately, including parking and annual passes. At Disneyland, that least expensive option will run you $104 — consistent since before the pandemic — and at Disney World it'll cost $109. At Disney World in Orlando, annual price passes jumped by nearly 10%, with the most expensive Incredi-Pass now selling for $1,449. Parking at the theme park will also rise by $5 to $30 total, but it's free for hotel guests.

Some Medallion members can no longer access the lounge when traveling internationally in select cabins. According to Delta, starting January 1, only Diamond, Platinum, Gold, and Silver Medallion members can buy annual memberships to the Sky Club. Sky Club members flying on a basic economy ticket, as well as Diamond, Platinum, and Gold Medallion Members flying internationally in Delta's Main Cabin or Comfort+ can no longer access the Sky Club, effective February 2. Access can be granted through other means, like having an eligible American Express credit card or a Club membership, according to Delta. These are huge changes for the airline, especially since anyone can currently purchase a Sky Club membership.
