Potrivit Administraţiei de Stat a Drumurilor, circulaţia pe o lungime de 5,5 kilometri este permisă, cu scopul de a contracara formarea ambuteiajelor. Autorităţile suţin că lucrările au demarat în septembrie anul trecut și se execută în zig zag, pe ambele părţi ale carosabilului, astfel încât participanții la trafic să se deplaseze pe porțiunea de drum reparată. Pentru reparaţia acestui drum au fost alocaţi peste 9,9 milioane euro, bani oferiţi de Banca Europeană de Investiții. Lucrările urmează a fi finalizate în toamna anului viitor.
