At least that seems to be the message — both symbolically and stylistically — embedded in Kamala Harris’ second ever Vogue cover. It's the vice president's second cover for the title. Annie Leibovitz/VogueThe image, by fashion photographer Annie Leibovitz, is a far cry from Harris’ first Vogue cover back in November 2021. Annie Leibovitz/VogueThis time around, though, neither Vogue nor Harris’ team seemed concerned with signposting her authenticity and approachability (Harris’ viral meme-ridden campaign seems to have handled that). But for most Harris’ fans, the second Vogue cover is something of a full circle moment — righting the perceived “wrongs” of the first.

Next year, a landmark exhibition on Black suiting and sartorial codes will serve as the inspiration for fashion’s biggest night out. The much-anticipated Met Gala event typically draws its theme from the accompanying exhibition, which A-Listers are encouraged to interpret on the red carpet. For the upcoming Met Gala, the Costume Institute has also announced a new lineup of famous co-chairs, all fashion-forward men: Actor Colman Domingo, British racing driver Lewis Hamilton, rapper A$AP Rocky and producer Pharrell Williams will work with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour to orchestrate the event, along with honorary co-chair LeBron James. CNN —Harley Quinn and the Penguin are no match for the ridiculous cuteness of one teeny tiny micro chihuahua named Pilaf. After Farrell said he wanted to “take a selfie with it,” the “G.I. Jane” star talked about how Pilaf recently had her very own cover shoot for Dogue (yes, that’s Vogue for dogs, folks) and said, “I knew that she had moved into a whole new category when my publicist got a call just for Pilaf.”Moore then brought the dog – full name Pilaf the Little Mouse – out on stage, where she immediately went up to host Norton for petting. Soon, Moore handed Pilaf off to Gaga, who observed that “she’s so little… and weird!” (but clearly meant it affectionately). After Moore talked about how the dog didn’t have a full set of teeth and had to lose some – “hence why the tongue does not stay in” – Gaga stated simply, “She’s perfect.”Truer words were never spoken.

Paris CNN —On the second day of Paris Fashion Week at the city’s Palais de Tokyo, a giant inflatable elephant welcomed guests to the Ester Manas fashion show. Methods such as ruching and drawstrings eliminate the need for classical sizing and enable Ester Manas to cater to sizes XS to 3XL. Similarly, a 2023 size inclusivity report conducted by Vogue Business found that 95.6% of all looks presented for Fall-Winter 2023 were in a size US 0-4. “Numerically, it is very apparent that this ‘trend’ (of both being personally comfortable with your size and size inclusivity being socially accepted) has retreated,” Delepierre said. “Beyond the size dimension, (Ester Manas clothes) are strong pieces that stand on their own and make everyone feel sexy,” he said.
