CNN —The long-awaited official hire of former Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino as the new head coach of the US men’s national soccer team (USMNT) has finally come to fruition. Pochettino represents a significant get for the US and will bring a wealth of top-level coaching experience to the team. Scott was subsequently arrested for “violence against another person,” according to a police spokesman. Scott, who was in Paris for the Olympic Games, on Thursday attended the men’s basketball semi-final that saw the United States beat Serbia. He was arrested for “violence against a security guard,” the Paris prosecutor’s office said later on Friday. Scott was arrested and booked into Miami-Dade County Jail in June on charges of trespass and disorderly intoxication.

London CNN —Pearl Jam has canceled its scheduled concert at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Saturday because of “illness in the band,” it announced on Friday. Due to existing schedule commitments, the American rock band added that it would not be able to reschedule the concert and would refund all the tickets purchased. “There was simply no other option based on our current health and also having to avoid further damage,” it added. “We couldn’t be more disappointed to not play one of our favorite cities this tour,” the band said, adding that it was “deeply grateful” for the support of its fans. CNN —The celebrations during Manchester City’s 2-0 win against Tottenham on Tuesday were testament to the importance of the high-stakes match as the reigning champion took a huge step towards a fourth straight English Premier League title. But, just as it looked as though City’s title hopes were about to be handed a major blow, Ortega stuck out a strong right leg to block the striker’s shot. Stefan Ortega makes an incredible save from Son Heung-Min to keep City's title hopes alive. However, if Arsenal drops points at home against Everton in its last game, City will win the league regardless of its result. No Premier League team has ever won four consecutive league titles, and the achievement would come after City’s treble-winning feat last season.
