The Dolley Madison daguerreotype, made by artist and entrepreneur John Plumbe Jr., shows the trailblazing First Lady when she was in her late seventies. In addition to his portrait of Madison, he created the earliest extant image of the US Capitol. The buzziest new entertainment arena is a glowing orb near the Las Vegas strip. The Sphere opened last weekend with a U2 concert attended by the likes of Jeff Bezos and Oprah Winfrey. The biggest draw of the night was arguably not the Irish rock band, though, but the venue itself: the Sphere. The Sphere is a massive, dome-shaped music and entertainment venue that just opened near the Las Vegas strip. "In consultation with attorneys, physicians, partners and stakeholders, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is confident in our decision to resume abortion care in Wisconsin," Tanya Atkinson, CEO of Planned Parenthood Wisconsin, said in a video statement Thursday. Planned Parenthood temporarily suspended abortion services in Wisconsin on the same day the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling that for 50 years had protected the procedure as a constitutional right.
