U.S. gymnast Jordan Chiles was stripped of her floor exercise bronze medal Sunday by the International Olympic Committee after a scoring inquiry was deemed invalid. Chiles is the only gymnast in history to be stripped of an Olympic medal for reasons other than age falsification or failed drug tests. The bronze medal debacle is the sport's most high-profile controversy since the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, the site of the biggest scandal in Olympic gymnastics history. Dr. Hamid G. Gharavi, Philippe Sands and Song Lu sat on the panel, of which Gharavi was the president, according to CAS. Gharavi’s resume, linked on CAS’ website, lists multiple legal cases in which he has represented Romania in arbitration cases. The 21 year old from Lombardy in northern Italy was sponsored by the Consorzio del Formaggio Parmigiano-Reggiano (Consortium of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese) in 2021. In one photo, she is hugging a cheese wheel close to her chest. Parmigiano-Reggiano, or parmesan cheese, is most famously made in the hills around Parma, about 65 miles northwest of Bologna. CNN —A golden bikini costume worn by Carrie Fisher on the set of “Return of the Jedi” has sold at auction for $175,000. Worn by Princess Leia after she is captured by Jabba the Hutt and forced into slavery, the costume has become a cult favorite among “Star Wars” fans. Dallas-based Heritage Auctions, which hosted the sale, described it as being “among the most memorable” outfits in the franchise’s history. “George (Lucas) said, ‘We want to show that Princess Leia is growing up,’” recalled Miller, who died in 2022 aged 80. And that’s why the slave costume was introduced.”Miller recalled that Fisher “didn’t like” the bikini, which he attributed to it fitting poorly.

According to BBC Sport, it was Kerr’s idea to tease the fans around the news of the contract extension. Kerr has become one of the best players in women's soccer. Former Chelsea manager Hayes had made it her mission to convince Kerr to move to the WSL club back in 2019.
