Listening to the album's lead single, "Woman's World," I have to assume it's a portal to the past. In the music video for "Woman's World," Perry's visuals are clearly meant to be tongue-in-cheek. Five people are credited as songwriters for "What Makes a Woman," but none overlap with the six writers credited for "Woman's World." She wanted Dr. Luke and all the baggage he brings; all four other songwriters on "Woman's World" are Dr. Luke collaborators or signees. Perry's 'Woman's World' proves she's stuck in a sound of the pastSurely Perry knew she'd face backlash — and for what?

The pleated, wide-leg pant costs $148 a pop and is offered in a variety of colors, lengths, and materials. That means that for the price of one Aritzia Effortless Pant, a Uniqlo shopper over in Asia can purchase an entire work outfit. "Consumers continue to be even more discriminating with every dollar that they spend as they faced elevated prices in their day-to-day spending," McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski said on the company's conference call in late April. Paul Weaver | SOPA Images | Getty ImagesFor more than two years, consumers have dealt with sharply rising prices. But that doesn't mean the actual prices seen on grocery store shelves or restaurant menus will fall, and shoppers are feeling that pinch. While some CEOs have said that consumers are growing more cautious, others — like those in the airline industry — have celebrated strong and persistent spending. Corporate misfires can also lead to disappointing sales, even if their shoppers aren't necessarily pulling back on their spending.

The firm reiterated an outperform rating on the restaurant chain stock and listed it as a top pick. Oppenheimer's $34 per share price target implies nearly 50% upside from Monday's $22.74 close. "We believe the model is in the early innings of a powerful earnings revision cycle," analyst Brian Bittner wrote Monday. Bittner, however, sees Sweetgreen reporting a smaller-than-expected loss due to strong margins. However, "our work suggests now is the time to get aggressive as the model transitions to sustainable EBITDA profitability starting in 2024."

Moderna on Thursday posted a narrower-than-expected loss for the first quarter as the company's cost-cutting efforts took hold and sales of its Covid vaccine, its only commercially available product, topped estimates. The biotech company booked first-quarter sales of $167 million, with revenue from its Covid shot dropping roughly 90% from the same period a year ago. The company reiterated its full-year 2024 sales guidance of roughly $4 billion, which includes revenue from its RSV vaccine. For the first quarter, Mock said the company is "more encouraged by what we're seeing from a productivity perspective" than the higher sales of its Covid vaccine. Cost of sales was $96 million for the fourth quarter, down 88% from the same period a year ago.

This is the largest drop in non-oil domestic exports recorded by Singapore since January 2023. On a month-on-month basis, non-oil domestic exports slid 8.4%, also more than the 4.5% expected in the Reuters forecast. One of its 48 ounce salads costs less than $7 and comes with chicken or tofu, while a comparable salad from Sweetgreen costs about $12. Two years later, Morrison took over as chief executive, departing Wall Street's favorite chicken wing chain after a decade in favor of a little-known salad chain that then had only 50 locations.
