Washington CNN —Boeing is expected to release a plan this week to fix its endless string of safety issues that have been under federal investigation following a midflight fuselage blowout in January. Since then, the FAA and Boeing have met multiple times about the company’s progress and the plan’s scope. FAA Administrator Mike Whitaker said last week he sees the plan as only the “beginning” of a process for Boeing. Boeing later agreed to financial penalties and a deferred prosecution agreement to settle a criminal charge of defrauding US regulators. Its marching orders for the plan include addressing the audit and expert panel findings and explaining how it will integrate safety and quality assurance policies into practice.

"There's a lot going on in the space," said Judy Kimball, a senior director of investor marketing at Yipit. Initial Data Offering launched last December, and its user base has grown rapidly, according to Ober. The site is simple — it's a place where data vendors can share new products, and data buyers can get in touch with sellers on items that interest them. CNN —The US Food and Drug Administration is warning that dangerous counterfeit versions of Botox have been identified in multiple states, putting the safety of consumers at risk. The incidents of counterfeit Botox being administered to consumers appear to be connected to products that have been purchased from unlicensed sources and then administered by either unlicensed or licensed providers. The counterfeit Botox products may be identified by the lot number C3709C3 found on the outer carton and vial, the FDA said. Counterfeit botox has been found in several states. Most often, when counterfeit Botox is sold, “the injector knows they’re purchasing something counterfeit,” Sung said.

Besides the soap, FAA auditors say they saw Spirit mechanics use a hotel key card to check a door seal. In March, The Times reported that Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) auditors saw Spirit AeroSystems' mechanics applying soap to a door seal. AdvertisementAccording to Buccino, Spirit also tried using other household products such as Vaseline, cornstarch, and talcum powder as a lubricant before settling on liquid Dawn soap. Buccino said the Dawn soap became their top choice because it didn't cause the door seal to degrade over time. A group of roughly 600 software testers at Activision on Friday formed the U.S. video game industry's largest union so far. The union is the first to organize under a new labor agreement negotiated as part of Microsoft's $69 billion acquisition of Activision in October, the company's largest takeover yet. Activision Quality Assurance United-CWA, the name of the union, is seeking higher wages and more career opportunities, QA tester Kara Fannon said in a statement. Before the Microsoft-Activision deal closed, QA workers at the video game-maker's Albany branch had also formed a union. The inspectors identified quality control lapses at the company's California animal research facility. Those visits took place last year from June 12-22, and represent the FDA's sole inspections of Neuralink facilities on record. The laboratory problems identified by FDA inspectors included missing calibration records for instruments such as a pH meter used in one of the studies. An animal welfare advocacy group, Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, submitted a formal complaint to both USDA and FDA over the alleged breaches. In July, the USDA said it did not find any violations of its animal research rules beyond a 2019 incident that Neuralink had already reported.

The December day in 2021 that set off a revolution across the videogame industry appeared to start innocuously enough. “My friend called me crying, saying, ‘I just lost my job,’” recalled Erin Hall, one of the testers who stayed on. “None of us saw that coming.”The testers conferred with one another over the weekend and announced a strike on Monday. Just after they returned to work seven weeks later, they filed paperwork to hold a union election. LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Nevada jury has awarded about $130 million in damages in a lawsuit filed by five people who suffered liver damage after drinking bottled water marketed by a Las Vegas-based company before the product was recalled from store shelves in 2021. Real Water attorney Joel Odou argued that the company was unintentionally negligent, not reckless, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. The Southern Nevada Water Authority, the region's main public supplier, monitors and tests for 166 different possible contaminants, spokesman Bronson Mack said Thursday. Mack noted that the water authority was not a defendant in the lawsuits and said the area's municipal water supply meets or surpasses all federal Safe Drinking Water Act standards. Real Water was sold for at least eight years, primarily in Central and Southern California, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Utah.

The FAA subsequently grounded all models of the Boeing 737 Max 9 after the incident, leading to flight cancellations and frustration among airline executives. "Let me be clear: This won't be back to business as usual for Boeing," FAA Administrator Mike Whitaker said in a Wednesday statement. The agency has halted all further expansion production on Boeing 737 Max 9s until it is "satisfied" that the aircraft's quality control issues are resolved. In-house safety inspections of Alaska Airlines's fleet of Boeing 737 Max 9s following the initial incident revealed that there were "many" loose bolts found on the jets. The FAA's new safety guidelines for the 737 Max 9s come after a review of data stemming from 40 inspections of the grounded planes, the agency said.
