Uber riders in those cities can be matched with a driverless Waymo car for some trips, according to the companies. A Waymo spokesperson said it had no plans to partner with Uber in San Francisco and Los Angeles. The expansion into Austin and Atlanta won't include Uber Eats at first, according to the Waymo spokesperson, but they're exploring that possibility for the future. Some analysts were more hopeful for a potential Uber and Waymo expansion into San Francisco.

A string of whistleblowers this year has raised allegations about Boeing factory lapses, including an official federal complaint from a current employee that Boeing hid potentially defective parts from Federal Aviation Administration inspectors, and that some of those parts likely ended up in planes. Most of the parts that were meant to be scrapped were often painted red to signify they were unsuitable for assembly lines, Meyers said. In a statement to CNN, Boeing did not dispute Meyers’ allegations. Meyers describes a pressure-packed environment at the Everett factory, where assembly teams competed with each other to find the parts they needed. Fisker filed for bankruptcy on Monday and Ocean owners are already beginning to feel the pinch. EV charging company ChargePoint notified some Fisker Ocean owners that the company had rescinded their promotional charging credits on Tuesday morning. The company said in an email to owners who had received charging credits through Fisker that Henrik Fisker's company had "abandoned its contract with ChargePoint." The charging credits are just one of many problems Fisker Ocean owners might face in the coming months. Business Insider previously reported that owners were concerned their cars might become unusable if Fisker were to go under.
