Nike recently signed a 12-year deal with the NBA, WNBA, and NBA G League. AdvertisementNike is deepening its partnerships with the NBA and WNBA as basketball explodes in popularity in 2024. That's good news for the company as it tries to get back to its sports roots and reinvigorate sales — and as women's basketball becomes increasingly popular. The sportswear giant announced in October that it signed a 12-year agreement with the NBA, WNBA, and NBA G League to be the exclusive uniform and apparel provider for each league. While Nike started as a running brand, its business has historically been linked with basketball after a 1984 collaboration with Michael Jordan.

On Friday morning, eight of the cathedral’s bells tolled for the first time since April 2019, according to Alexandre Gougeon, who managed their installation. “Hearing the bells ring this morning was very moving,” Gougeon told CNN, adding that the project to install the bells had taken a year and a half. Gunn suffered ridicule and false rumors after her Paris Olympics performance. AdvertisementThe Olympic breakdancer Rachael "Raygun" Gunn is retiring from the sport after facing a barrage of online hate and misinformation. The 37-year-old Australian became a laughing stock this summer after her viral Paris Olympics performance, which included moves that were compared to a kangaroo hopping and the dancing of a child. Speaking at her concert in Munich in August, Adele said Gunn's performance was her "favorite thing that's happened in the Olympics." "Having that Olympic stamp for any sport changes the game of play," Born Barikor, the chair of the UK organisation Breaking GB, told Fortune.

Rachael "Raygun" Gunn has announced that her professional break dancing career is over, citing the online reaction to her Paris Olympics performance. The Australian dancer — who went viral for her unorthodox performance at the 2024 Olympic Games — said that while she still breaks, she's not going to compete anymore. She was awarded zero points at the Olympics, leading many to wonder how she qualified for the Games to begin with. As videos of her performances went viral, so did conspiracy theories about her entry into the competition. While her competitive days may be behind her, Gunn seems to have found another way to keep her love for breaking alive.
