New York Jets offensive lineman Xavier Newman was carted off the field in Pittsburgh after what appeared to be a serious injury Sunday against the Steelers. The team said Newman would miss the rest of the game with a neck injury. Newman was hurt in the third quarter when Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was intercepted by Pittsburgh’s Beanie Bishop Jr., who returned 41 yards. When he remained down, Jets teammates surrounded him out of bounds for several minutes. The "Sunday Night Football" broadcast reported that Newman was conscious and had movement in his limbs as he was strapped to a spine board before he was carted off and taken to a hospital in Pittsburgh.

At Wembley Stadium, a venue that has become the Jaguars’ home from home in recent years, Jacksonville picked up a much-needed win, and in emphatic style. The Patriots made lightwork of getting down the field on their first drive and were rewarded with an early touchdown. CNN —The Buffalo Bills announced on Tuesday that they finalized a trade for wide receiver Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns, strengthening their offense for the rest of the season. The Bills received Cooper and a 2025 sixth-round draft pick with a 2025 third-round pick and a 2026 seventh-round pick heading to Cleveland in exchange. The 30-year-old is a five-time Pro Bowl selection and has 9,736 receiving yards and 62 touchdowns in his career. He has had six seasons with more than 1,000 yards receiving, including his last two full seasons in 2022 and 2023. Last season, Cooper recorded a career-high 1,250 receiving yards for a Cleveland team which lost in the first round of the playoffs.

The charges allege Peppers shoved a girlfriend to the ground, shoved her head into a wall, and put his hands around her neck to strangle her. In court, Peppers’ attorney, Marc Brofsky, said evidence in the case “sheds real doubt on the allegations, including videotaped evidence.” He said Peppers agreed not to have contact with the woman.
