Electrical components and power systems company Eaton delivered mixed third-quarter results Thursday morning, and its stock paid the price. Eaton management raised its full-year guidance for both operating margin and earnings per share (EPS). However, we're increasing our price target to $375 per share from $350, implying over 9% upside from Wednesday's close. 2025 outlook Looking to next year, management didn't provide formal sales or earnings guidance, but they did provide growth assumptions for the company's key end markets. Industrial facilities (12% of sales), defense aerospace (6% of sales), and commercial and institutional (20% of sales) are expected to realize "modest growth."

Reddit shares jumped 22% in extended trading Tuesday, topping $100 for the first time, after the social media company reported third-quarter results that topped analyst estimates and issued an optimistic forecast for the current period. Adjusted earnings for the fourth quarter will be in the range of $110 million to $125 million, higher than the $85.2 million average estimate. Average revenue per user was $3.58 for the third quarter, which beat analyst estimates of $3.24. "It was another strong quarter for Reddit and our communities as we achieved important milestones, including new levels of user traffic, revenue growth, and profitability," Reddit CEO Steve Huffman said in a statement. The company said global logged-out users grew 70% from a year earlier to 53.1 million, while global logged-in users increased 27% to 44.1 million.

New York Stock Exchange to extend after-hours trading

The New York Stock Exchange on Friday announced plans to extend trading on its all-electronic exchange to 22 hours a day. Normal trading hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.NYSE Arca is known as a top platform to buy and sell exchange-traded funds and more than 8,000 U.S.-listed securities. All U.S.-listed stocks, ETFs and closed-end funds will be open to trade during the 22 hours on the electronic exchange, Intercontinental Exchange said. The NYSE plans to file updated rules for extended trading with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

TKO Group , the company that owns WWE and UFC, is expanding into sports-adjacent properties by acquiring three businesses for $3.25 billion from its controlling owner, Endeavor Group . The businesses are Professional Bull Riders, On Location, and IMG, the companies announced Thursday. The deal is all stock, and Endeavor's ownership in TKO will increase from 53% to 59%. While the company does acquire a new league in PBR, the world's largest bull riding league, it also is expanding into luxury hospitality with On Location and media rights consultancy through IMG. A pro-Palestinian protest erupted outside of the New York Stock Exchange on Monday. There was no disruption to trading and none of the protestors appeared to make it to the historic trading floor. NYSE security fences off a perimeter area outside of the exterior of the building on Broad street in lower Manhattan. According to video shared on social media, the group, called Jewish Voice for Peace, broke into that area and protestors were chaining themselves to the security fence and some exterior doors. The exchange has had heavy security in place since the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center buildings nearby.
