None of the top five fantasy players coming into the season based on average draft position is in the top 48 in fantasy scoring. (The fantasy scoring numbers here are provided by TruMedia, and the average draft position statistics were compiled by Fantasy Pros.) Aaron Jones (15.7 fantasy ppg) has been a good pick but left early Sunday with a hip injury. The only bright spot for Las Vegas is rookie tight end Brock Bowers, who is 76th in fantasy scoring (13.3). Brian Thomas Jr. is 35th in fantasy scoring (16.2 ppg), which is second-best among rookie wide receivers behind only Malik Nabers.

Week 3 of the NFL season was filled with impressive wins — some big-time comebacks, teams getting their first victory of the season and more. Here are the teams who came away with the biggest wins of the week. It was a baffling home performance for the Raiders one week after they upset the Ravens. Dalton’s performance not only saves the season for Carolina; it raises even more questions about how poor Young’s performance was in the first two weeks. Niners signal-caller Brock Purdy had an impressive stat line — 22 of 30 for 292 yards and three scores — but couldn’t put away the game late.

The Los Angeles Rams will place wide receiver Puka Nacua on injured reserve with a right knee injury, head coach Sean McVay said Monday. Nacua, a second-year receiver, will miss at least four weeks before he is eligible to return. He was injured during the Rams’ 26-20 overtime loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday. It is an aggravation of an injury Nacua had during the offseason, ESPN reported. Nacua joins three offensive linemen and defensive back Cobie Durant as Rams on the injury report after Week 1.

The Kansas City Chiefs, the NFL's current dynasty, are only the 18th most valuable team in the league at $6.07 billion, according to CNBC's Official 2024 NFL Team Valuations. The bulk of a team's revenue in a given season comes from the ballooning media rights fees that the NFL charges for its games. Contrast that with leagues like the NBA and NHL, where clubs receive a much bigger cut of playoff ticket revenue. Stadium ownership and operating rights are also a lucrative source of revenue for NFL teams. Perennial playoff teams can also be more attractive to sponsors because they can almost guarantee that thousands of additional people will be in their stadiums every year.

This season, the NFL will play five games abroad in Europe and South America. "The reality is, when we bring our brand of our regular season games here, it creates a whole new environment," Goodell said. Goodell said it has been a learning process playing games abroad, as the league sees how players handle long flights and different time zones. Some games are streaming exclusive, including Friday's matchup in Brazil, which will air on NBC's Peacock platform. Yet, Goodell said 85% of NFL games are still available on broadcast television.
