Since I began using TikTok Shop, I've made over £11,000, about $14,000. With TikTok Shop, I end up with £2 or £3 per book more than when I sell through Amazon, on average. But because there are better margins on TikTok, I'm in control of discounts and offers.

But the Oracle of Omaha has missed out on this year’s stock market rally. Buffett, in fact, has promoted that idea to investors many times, arguing that most individual stock pickers will not be able to beat the market. And to his credit, that usually pays dividends: Berkshire stock was up 3% last year in a down market. “High rates of inflation create a tax on capital that makes much corporate investment unwise,” Buffett said in his 1980 shareholder letter to Berkshire investors. Investors will get several more clues about consumer spending this week when several top retailers report earnings.
Most important this week is Friday's core personal consumption expenditure (PCE) price index for January. In comparison, the consumer price index (CPI), released this past week, only tracks price changes over time. The market is expecting the core PCE price index to rise 0.4% monthly and 4.9% annually. In addition to the core PCE price index, we're going to be looking closely at the housing and utilities component. Lastly, the January producer price index came in hotter than expected, rising 0.7% from December versus expectations for 0.4% increase.

Turkey's push into Iraq risks deeper conflict

REUTERS/Amina IsmailSARARO, Iraq, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Looming over the deserted village of Sararo in northern Iraq, three Turkish military outposts break the skyline, part of an incursion that forced the residents to flee last year after days of shelling. Turkey's advances across the increasingly depopulated border of Iraqi Kurdistan attract little global attention compared to its incursions into Syria or the battle against Islamic State, but the escalation risks further destabilising a region where foreign powers have intervened with impunity, analysts say. EMPTY VILLAGESA Kurdish official, who declined to be named, also said Turkey now had about 80 outposts in Iraq. NEW TARGETSBeyond the humanitarian impact, Turkey's incursion risks widening the conflict by giving carte blanche to regional rival Iran to step up intelligence operations inside Iraq and take its own military action, Kurdish officials say. According to a Washington Institute report, attacks on Turkish military facilities in Iraq increased from an average of 1.5 strikes per month at the start of 2022 to seven in April.

Petrobras (PBR) – The Brazilian state-run oil company's shares slid 8.5% in premarket trading after Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva defeated Jair Bolsonaro in the Brazilian presidential election. Hanesbrands (HBI) – The apparel maker received a double-downgrade at Wells Fargo Securities, which cut the stock's rating to "underweight" from "overweight." Wells Fargo is concerned about the company's debt position, as well as business headwinds that it feels are largely out of management's control. Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) – The beverage maker's stock fell 1.8% in premarket trading after Truist Securities downgraded it to "sell" from "neutral."
Sue Irven and her husband began selling on Amazon KDP after they were laid off during the pandemic. My husband and I started selling on Amazon KDP in June 2020 and saw a profit after our very first month. Although there's no such thing as truly passive income, Amazon KDP is pretty close.
