Beijing CNN —The world’s largest indoor ice and snow theme park has officially opened its doors to the public, giving visitors to the city of Harbin in northeast China a chance to feel wintery temperatures year-round. The annual Harbin Ice and Snow Festival began in 1999 and is held every year from December to early March. A Guinness World Records official awarded the Harbin Ice and Snow World Company the certification for the “world’s largest indoor ice and snow theme park” during this month’s opening ceremony. Delta Air Lines pulled some meal options from dozens of international flights on Wednesday hours after the carrier said reports of "spoiled" food on an Amsterdam-bound flight forced the plane to divert to New York. Delta was only serving pasta in the main cabin on about 75 international flights on Wednesday. Delta apologized to customers over the report of spoiled food in the main cabin on the Detroit-to-Amsterdam flight. "This is not the service Delta is known for and we sincerely apologize to our customers for the inconvenience and delay in their travels," Delta said. The incident occurred in the midst of the peak summer travel season, when Delta and its rivals are fighting over travelers.

But when I discovered a London-based project turning discarded chicken feathers into edible proteins, I admit I was skeptical. The company behind the project, Kera Protein Ltd., has a unique approach to its lab-produced protein product. Since then, he and his business partner, Tom Washington, have delved into the issue of waste management - focusing particularly on chicken feathers. To make the food we tried, Kera extracted feathers from discarded chicken carcasses in partnership with a local farm. “We hope to revolutionize the way people view chicken feathers, demonstrating their potential as a valuable resource rather than just a dirty by-product.”
