MADRID, Nov 24 (Reuters) - Dozens of Zara shop assistants protested in Madrid on Thursday outside the global fashion giant's largest store to demand higher pay, and some workers in its home town in northwest Spain went on strike on the eve of its Black Friday sales campaign. In the town of A Coruna, where the first Zara store opened in 1975, Inditex now has 44 stores. Two of those, a Zara store and a Massimo Dutti shop were closed on Thursday, and some 1,000 shopworkers were preparing to go on a one-day strike the following day on Black Friday. Shop assistants' monthly wages at Inditex stores in Madrid and A Coruna are below 1,400 euros, according to the unions. "If we don't get better wages we will call for more protests in December and January," she said.

Global fashion platform Farfetch is still selling more than 200 Yeezy products on its site. Farfetch had more than 200 Yeezy sneakers, boots, and slides on its website on Sunday and is yet to make a statement on whether it will continue to sell Yeezy products. Two items viewed by Insider were a Season 7 Desert Boot in "House Blue" for £980 ($1,138) and Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 "Hired" sneakers for £534 ($620). A Harlem's Fashion Row event showcased creatives and designers of color. The Harlem's Fashion Row show is one of recent steps by LVMH to become more diverse and inclusive. Black creatives and fashionistas of color are cautiously optimistic, saying LVMH could set a new standard for an industry that's long had a problem with diversity. Harlem's Fashion Row CEO Brandice Daniel said the partnership with LVMH felt intentional and serious in nature. I think it's incredible that HFR and Black designers in general are getting this kind of support," Daniel, who is Black, said, referring to Harlem's Fashion Row.
