Morgan Stanley estimates Amazon can cut 13,834 managers and save roughly $3 billion next year. Morgan Stanley assumed that the cost per manager was $200,000 to $350,000 a year. Based on those numbers, Amazon would stand to save $2.1 billion to $3.6 billion next year if it cut those 13,834 manager roles. Morgan Stanley estimated that the savings would account for roughly 3% to 5% of Amazon's projected operating profit for 2025.
