It was a moment that encapsulated one of the biggest challenges facing her campaign – which, in the end, proved insurmountable. CNN spoke with over a dozen senior Harris campaign aides both in the Wilmington, Delaware, campaign headquarters and on the ground in the states, as well as multiple volunteers and local elected officials, over the course of the final weeks of the race. ☆ California could soon have nation’s highest minimum wage if voters approve

CNN —California voters will decide this election whether to increase the state’s minimum wage to $18 an hour, which would be the highest in the US. Currently, the Golden State’s minimum wage is $16 and is set to rise to $16.50 next year. California has been among the more aggressive states when it comes to hiking the minimum wage. Some 44% of likely California voters said they would vote yes in an October poll conducted by the Public Policy Institute of California, down from 50% in September. Jerry Brown, gradually raised the minimum wage, giving employers the opportunity to adjust, Condie said.

CNN —Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday claimed two Pennsylvania counties are experiencing voter fraud despite both officials there maintaining they’re still investigating potential issues related to voter registration applications. “This on top of Lancaster County being caught with 2600 Fake Ballots and Forms, all written by the same person. While announcing the suspected fraud, Lancaster officials said at least two other counties may have also received fraudulent voter registration applications. On Tuesday, York County spokesperson Greg Monskie would not confirm to CNN whether it had received fraudulent voter registration applications and couldn’t speak to any connection with the issues alleged in Lancaster County. The interaction took place at the Voter Service Center in Media, Pennsylvania, the seat of the suburban Philadelphia county.
