BERLIN Feb 17 (Reuters) - Iranian filmmaker Sepideh Farsi's debut animation aims to counter what she says is the traditional narrative of the Iran-Iraq War as her contribution to supporting protests at home. Farsi was determined to tell another story from what she said governments in Iran had done by glorifying the war with films honouring martyrs. Protests rocked Iran overnight after a seeming slowdown in recent weeks, with marchers calling for the overthrow of the Islamic Republic, online videos purported to show on Friday. Iranians from all walks of life have taken part, marking one of the boldest challenges to the Islamic Republic since the 1979 revolution. Making the film as an animation allowed Farsi to evoke the city of Abadan, which was razed during the war.

"The film industry is starting to come out of the pandemic, starting to revive itself," said Roxborough, Europe bureau chief of the Hollywood Reporter. "It's going to be here in Berlin where we really see the green shoots of the future of cinema." Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy will address Thursday's opening night gala by video link, the festival announced on Wednesday. One of China's biggest stars, her lengthy absence had prompted speculation she had fallen foul of China's leadership.

Regizoarea a povestit, pentru ZdG, despre premiere, munca la acest film, reacția rudelor și a presei, dar și despre planurile pentru viitor. De aceea, odată ce filmul a fost gata, am vrut să aplic anume la Berlinale, deși unii profesori mă descurajau. Discuția noastră a durat 2 ore și a devenit baza sonoră a filmului, de aceea titlul filmului este „Nanu Tudor”. Filmul nu a fost o răzbunare, ci o necesitate de a înțelege procesele complexe din familie. Acest tip de terapie neconvențională a fost și este utilizat pentru rezolvarea și conștientizarea conflictelor interioare.
