Taiclet added that Lockheed has alliances with companies like Nvidia, Microsoft and Intel to bring digital technology more quickly into the defense sector. The Biden administration is seeking a $105 billion security aid package to support the security needs of allies like Ukraine and Israel. According to Taiclet, Lockheed is capable of doubling its F35 aircrafts with the right investments from government and its suppliers, but it might take a few years. "We want to be on offense and defense and use the latest technology to actually make that happen," he said.

"Jindal Power was the sole successful applicant whose expression of interest was accepted by banks," said a banker with a state-run bank that has exposure to Go First. Go First's resolution professional, who conducts the insolvency process, and Jindal Power did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment. However, the government amended its insolvency law earlier this month to exclude leased aircraft from assets that can be frozen, to bring India's bankruptcy laws into line with a treaty protecting the rights of foreign lessors. It is unclear whether the amended law would apply to Go First since its insolvency proceedings are still underway.

Analysts at JPMorgan calculated that including the prospective orders from Austria and The Netherlands, the aircraft's potential lifetime sales stand at 35 units, 28 of which are still to be delivered. Shares in Embraer rose 2.85% in early trading on the Brazilian stock exchange, outperforming the Bovespa stock index (.BVSP), which rose 0.8%.

A highly anticipated report published by NASA on Thursday underscored challenges to understanding unidentified anomalous phenomena, or UAP, including stigma and poor data quality. NATO and European countries have started training Ukrainians on advanced F-16 fighter jets. The months-long program intends to cover language training, flight training, and conversion to the F-16 platform, according to an undated copy of the F-16 training concept that Insider obtained from the Danish defense ministry. The document also hints that Ukraine might get its hands on other fighter jets at some point. It's not immediately clear which fighter aircraft the statement is referencing, but one aircraft that the Ukrainians have been eyeing is Sweden's JAS 39 Gripen. However, the jet is operated by just six countries — only two of which support Ukraine with military aid (Sweden and the Czech Republic) — and has not yet seen combat experience.

CNN —The Netherlands and Denmark will provide Ukraine with much sought-after F-16 aircraft in an agreement hailed by President Volodymyr Zelensky as “historic.”Kyiv has urgently been calling on its Western allies to provide F-16 jets, as its slow-moving counteroffensive is hampered by Russian air superiority. “The Netherlands became the first country to agree to provide Ukraine with F-16s after training. Conditions for the transfer include training Ukrainian personnel, setting up infrastructure and logistics, and receiving the necessary authorization, it said. Out of these 42, we need planes to help training in Denmark and later on in Romania,” Rutte said. Rutte said that language training for Ukrainian service personnel was ongoing and military training in Denmark would begin soon.
