Former President Donald Trump has won Pennsylvania, NBC News projects, securing 19 Electoral College votes in the most hotly contested battleground state of the race. Trump was the only other Republican nominee to carry the state when he won it in 2016. Carrying Pennsylvania puts Trump one step closer toward reclaiming the White House four years after he lost the state to Joe Biden. NBC News exit polling showed Trump winning 57% of Latinos in the state after exit polls in 2020 showed him winning just 27% of Pennsylvania's Latino vote. Meanwhile, officials on both sides of the aisle, particularly in Pennsylvania, felt Harris would secure her win in Pennsylvania by tapping Josh Shapiro, the state’s popular governor, as her running mate.

It was a moment that encapsulated one of the biggest challenges facing her campaign – which, in the end, proved insurmountable. CNN spoke with over a dozen senior Harris campaign aides both in the Wilmington, Delaware, campaign headquarters and on the ground in the states, as well as multiple volunteers and local elected officials, over the course of the final weeks of the race. Lawyers for the Tesla CEO filed a “motion of removal” in federal court late Wednesday night. The parties will now continue pressing their case in federal court. Foglietta said he’s available later Thursday or Friday if the federal judge sends the case back to state court. Musk endorsed Trump in July and has donated $118 million to his super PAC.

On one level, Trump’s comment shows how his false election fraud claims have entered the outer realms of absurdity. The election fraud claims that Trump most notably supercharged in 2020 to salve his humiliation at losing to Joe Biden are already at high intensity this year. After laying out the darkest closing argument in modern American history, Trump is now increasingly turning to poisoning public confidence in the election. Gore conceded that election, thereby guaranteeing an uncontested transfer of presidential power — a step Trump refused to take four years ago. Just 30% of registered voters think Trump would accept the results of the election and concede if he loses, while 73% say that Harris would accept an election loss.

CNN —Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday claimed two Pennsylvania counties are experiencing voter fraud despite both officials there maintaining they’re still investigating potential issues related to voter registration applications. “This on top of Lancaster County being caught with 2600 Fake Ballots and Forms, all written by the same person. While announcing the suspected fraud, Lancaster officials said at least two other counties may have also received fraudulent voter registration applications. On Tuesday, York County spokesperson Greg Monskie would not confirm to CNN whether it had received fraudulent voter registration applications and couldn’t speak to any connection with the issues alleged in Lancaster County.
