New York CNN —Chris Wallace, the veteran journalist who has anchored weekly programs on CNN and the Max streaming service, is leaving the network, he announced Monday. “Chris Wallace is one of the most respected political journalists in the news business with a unique track record across radio, print, broadcast television, cable television and streaming,” Thompson said. In this case, Wallace told The Daily Beast that he decided to leave CNN to explore new platforms like streaming or podcasting. At the time, Wallace accepted a new role as the anchor of “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?” on CNN+, a streaming video product that launched in early 2022, but was shuttered weeks later when CNN’s parent company changed hands. Wallace’s talk show continued on the Max streaming service, and last year he added an eponymous Saturday morning panel discussion show.

"Look at which tax cuts were getting the most focus on the campaign trail. A traditional GOP tax policy might be thought of as favoring business tax cuts. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., on Sunday defended keeping Justice Sonia Sotomayor on the Supreme Court, after some Democrats have reportedly considered pressuring her to step down while President Joe Biden is still in office. He added that he’s heard “a little bit” of talk from Democratic senators about asking Sotomayor, who is serving a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court, to step aside. Sonia Sotomayor, who is 70, is serving a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court. If Sotomayor were to die during Trump’s term, she would likely be replaced by a conservative justice, pushing the now 6-3 conservative court further to the right. She died in September 2020 and Trump, then serving his first term, appointed the conservative Justice Amy Coney Barrett to replace her, leading to the court’s current conservative makeup.

Over the summer, Florida’s Broward County Public Schools made the decision to ban students from using cellphones and other communication devices for the entire school day. It's a particularly sensitive topic in Broward County after the 2018 Parkland shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, which is in the district. Carline Dumoulin, a mother of two students at Broward’s Cypress Bay High School, is one of those signatories. Broward County school board member Debra Hixon was present at the meeting where the rule was approved, but had left before the vote. Last year, a video of several students fighting at West Broward High School circulated online, gaining thousands of views on X.

Her patients inquire about testosterone therapy for multiple problems — to improve mood, energy, sex drive, brain fog and muscle mass. She tells patients that testosterone therapy is currently only recommended for a low sex drive, although future research may find other benefits. Shifren, who has been involved in clinical trials looking at testosterone therapy in women, said that the benefits for women with low libido aren’t terribly impressive. When men start testosterone therapy, it is typically given in a gel with a dose of 50-100 mg a day. Voedisch recalls one patient who finally stopped testosterone therapy after her voice was altered.

After winning in Washington, the first game of a daunting second-half schedule, do the Pittsburgh Steelers belong in the Super Bowl conversation? Setting aside how they compare to the rest of the NFL in 2024, how do you feel this year’s edition compares to the Chiefs teams of the past two seasons? Good teams, remember, almost always get fortuitous bounces and kind calls. This Chiefs team is more balanced and more well-rounded. Sanders added it is “problematic” if schedule F is being used to reinforce and maintain political loyalty. The spoils system was replaced by the current merit-based system where career employees serve multiple administrations, carrying out their jobs independent of politics. The Biden administration erected temporary roadblocks at the federal Office of Personnel Management – rules aimed at protecting federal workers from retaliatory mass firings. The District of Columbia itself has the largest individual chunk of federal workers in any state or territory, with more than 162,000. But it could also be devastating to employment in states that went to Trump, where roughly 967,000 federal workers live.

CNN —Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor has made clear she has no plans to step down, according to people close to her, despite calls from some on the left that President Joe Biden should try to name a successor before President-elect Donald Trump takes office. “She’s in great health, and the court needs her now more than ever,” said one person close to the justice. Some progressives have suggested Sotomayor, the most senior liberal on the conservative Supreme Court, should step down so that Biden could try to name a replacement in the short window before Trump takes office in January. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders said Sunday that he doesn’t think Sotomayor should step down from the court. In May, Sotomayor told an audience at Harvard University that she sometimes cries after the court hands down its decisions.

Attorneys for some defendants also suggested Trump’s victory was unfair in light of the fact that rioters are still being prosecuted and sentenced. Talk of potential presidential pardons permeated at least one violent rioter’s sentencing Thursday, when Zachary Alam told a judge he had no remorse for his actions. I want a full pardon.”“Instead of pardons of innocence, some January 6ers should receive pardons of patriotism,” Alam added. Alex Brandon/APSusie Wiles, the understated yet formidable force behind Donald Trump’s third presidential bid, has operated in a sphere of discretion, wielding influence without the spotlight. “Susie likes to stay sort of in the back,” Trump said Wednesday as he called on her to address his West Palm Beach victory party. Yet, for many of Trump’s closest allies, it is precisely Wiles’ unassuming style that has assured her longevity. Since Trump’s turbulent departure from Washington, Wiles has deftly steered his political apparatus from Mar-a-Lago, instilling a level of discipline and order rarely associated with the former president.
