ET Tuesday, while Tampa Airport will halt operations at 5 p.m. and Orlando International Airport will cease operations at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Federal Aviation Administration said it was "closely monitoring" Hurricane Ian and its path. A wellness check for a 22-year-old woman in New York City reportedly led to a grisly discovery: blood, human remains and body parts stuffed into suitcases, police said. The New York City Police Department was called to an apartment complex in the 300 block of Linwood Street in East New York around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to conduct the check. When officers arrived to the woman’s sixth-floor apartment, they found two suitcases containing human remains, police said. However, it’s not clear if the victim’s entire body was accounted for. It’s also not clear if the remains belong to the woman subject of the wellness check.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — NASA’s new moon rocket sprouted another fuel leak Wednesday as engineers tested the plumbing ahead of a launch attempt as early as next week. Engineers halted the flow and warmed the lines in hopes of plugging the leak, and proceeded with the test. Wednesday’s leak came close to the limit, but the launch team managed to get the leak down to acceptable levels as the test continued. Besides replacing seals, NASA altered the fueling process, easing more slowly into the loading of the super-cold liquid hydrogen and oxygen. NASA’s Space Launch System rocket is more powerful than the Saturn V rocket that sent Apollo astronauts to the moon during the late 1960s and early 1970s.

A three-vehicle collision on a central Florida highway Wednesday morning resulted in one death and 16 injuries, authorities said. The crash occurred about 6:15 a.m. on State Route 60 in Osceola County, according to the Osceola County Fire Rescue and EMS and a department spokesperson. “The crash involved a semi, transit bus, and pickup truck. A highway crash in Florida on Sept. 21, 2022, resulted in one death and 14 injuries, most were not life-threatening, officials said. Sullivan said the Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.

The coming months will be more challenging for the companies that make memory chips, Mizuho Securities said. Analyst Vijay Rakesh downgraded Micron Technology to neutral from buy under the expectation of slowing demand and increased competition. He also slashed his price target on the stock by 25% to $56 per share from $75 per share. Micron, in line with the industry, reported higher supply levels as demand for chips slides, Rakesh said. On top of that, the field of memory chip makers has become more crowded with the entrance of Yangtze Memory Technologies, which was founded in 2016.

Amtrak announced Wednesday it is suspending long-distance routes ahead of a Friday night deadline to avert a strike along the country's freight rail lines. Much of Amtrak's long-distance service runs on freight tracks. The company had already suspended 10 of 15 routes when it made the announcement around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday that service on its five remaining long-distance routes would be suspended. The cancellations, which will take effect late Thursday, will affect 23 trains on the BNSF Railway, Union Pacific North, Union Pacific Northwest and Union Pacific West lines. The Associated Press reported that by 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, one labor union had already rejected a deal.
