Rome CNN —The ancient Colosseum in Rome has witnessed some historic battles, with toga-clad crowds once packing the gigantic venue to watch gladiators slug it out against opponents including lions and baboons. On one side of the arena is holiday rental giant Airbnb and the Colosseum Archaeological Park, which oversees the ruined structure, which is one of Rome’s most visited attractions. You will become a gladiator,” promises the AirBnB advertisement. “A publicity stunt by Airbnb which, after having effectively taken possession of the historic center, completely distorting it and turning it into a large tourist park, now wants to ridicule the Colosseum,” he said Friday. Federico Mollicone, a member of her party who heads the Lower House of Parliament’s Culture Commission said he applauds the innovative idea.

AdvertisementI book "positioning" flights instead of direct ones to save money on flying when I can. Doing this has helped me find cheaper business-class flights, but it doesn't save me time. I've flown over 1.5 million miles, and one of my favorite ways to save money on airfare (and get into business class on a budget) is with "positioning" flights. Booking these flights can take quite a bit of researchPlaying with positioning flights isn't for the faint of heart. Why the C-suite is getting so big

Beyond the usual top jobs, some organizations now have chief experience officers, chief AI-ethics officers, and chief transformation officers. LinkedIn said in September that those were the fastest-growing C-suite roles on its platform from 2022 to 2023. Janet SherlockBut she said a lineup that includes a chief marketing officer, a chief information officer, and a chief customer-experience officer might indicate insufficient internal coordination. "Do I need a customer-experience officer whenever I have a chief commercial officer, a chief information officer, and a chief marketing officer?" Wiggins said that's why there's more pressure on C-suite leaders to act as a well-informed unit of experts rather than technical specialists.

The long-lost worm is Haplosyllis anthogorgicola, a species of bristle worm, or polychaete. But as Forreau was sorting her underwater photos of seahorses and corals, she made another unexpected discovery: The worms’ coral burrows were visible in the images. Perhaps, she thought, that might also be the case in other photos of pygmy seahorses. Images of pygmy seahorses taken by scuba divers were crawling with worm photobombs. Worms’ limbs, heads and tails poked out of coral burrows in the hundreds; the scientists even counted seven examples of worms crawling on seahorses’ bodies.

Prioritizing your joy can feel like an abstract assignment that, frankly, many of us don't have time for. Here are three science-backed ways you can boost your mood today. Crossing even the smallest to-do off your list can relieve some of this tension and cause your brain to release dopamine. Scheduling a dentist appointment or vacuuming your rug might not seem like it will bring you joy, but science shows it probably will.

If this year's closures are any indication — and if the economy worsens — they won't be alone. 2025 is still more than a month away, but it's already shaping up to be another rocky year for retail. Analysts at UBS project the total number of US retail closures could reach 45,000 over the next five years. For one thing, even healthy retailers like Walmart and Target periodically review and trim their store fleets in the normal course of business. In any event, the year hasn't even begun, but nearly 1,500 retail closures are slated — already roughly half the amount BI has tracked for full-year totals in recent years.

The rise in India's income and wealth inequality is not a result of the poor getting poorer, Sumedha Dasgupta, senior analyst at the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) flags. India's income gap (which is the difference in wages earned between different demographic) comes alongside a worsening wealth divide too. Instead, the phenomenon comes as the "rich are getting much richer at a faster rate," she told CNBC's Inside India. India's 3 household groupsA more pressing issue brought on by India's wealth and income divide is the emergence of different categories of households with distinct standards of living.
