The (Donald) Trump campaign, on the other hand, is looking to the Sun Belt. Instead of knocking on doors in key states, Trump’s allies are using funding from tech billionaire Elon Musk to do some nontraditional things. But some things are still going to be much more expensive on Election Day than they were when Trump was president. It’s one month to Election Day, but that’s a little bit of a misnomer. No matter what happens with the 2024 election, Trump is unlikely to accept the results if Harris wins.

CNN —Dubai’s Emirates airline has banned pagers and walkie-talkies from its planes, following last month’s attacks on such devices carried by the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah. It comes weeks after pagers exploded simultaneously across Lebanon, followed by walkie-talkies detonating in a similar fashion. At least 37 people, including children, were killed in the twin device attacks, and nearly 3,000 others were injured, according to Lebanese officials. In its latest update Friday, Emirates, the region’s largest airline, said flights from and to Lebanon’s capital, Beirut, remain canceled up until and including October 15. Several other airlines have also canceled flights to Beirut and other regional airports.

The potential successor to slain Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has been out of contact since Friday, a Lebanese security source said on Saturday, after an Israeli airstrike that is reported to have targeted him. The Lebanese security source and two other Lebanese security sources said that ongoing Israeli strikes on Beirut's southern suburb — known as Dahiyeh — since Friday have kept rescue workers from scouring the site of the attack. The loss of Nasrallah's rumored successor would be yet another blow to Hezbollah and its patron Iran. The Lebanese security official told Reuters that Saturday's strike on a Palestinian refugee camp in Tripoli killed a member of Hamas, his wife and two children.

FLINT, Mich. — Vice President Kamala Harris met with leaders from the Muslim and Arab American community ahead of her campaign rally here on Friday, a campaign official said. During the meeting, Harris heard leaders' perspectives on the election, as well as the wars in Gaza and Lebanon, the official said. He added that his group asked Harris "to impress upon President Biden the urgency of bringing an immediate end to the violence." Emgage endorsed Harris in September, despite saying that "the vice president still has a ways to go" on certain issues. On Wednesday, Phil Gordon, a national security adviser for the vice president, met virtually with Muslim, Arab and Palestinian leaders from across the country, according to a source familiar with the planning.
