Amazon reported a much better-than-expected third quarter Thursday, with strong growth across online sales, its cloud business and advertising. Commentary Cloud unit Amazon Web Services (AWS) revenue in the third quarter was essentially in line with the consensus forecast. Growth on a constant currency basis held steady from the second quarter at 19%, breaking a three-quarter streak of accelerating revenue growth. Quarterly results As for the rest of the company, Amazon delivered revenue beats across Online Stores (7% revenue growth), Subscription Services (11% revenue growth), and Advertising Services (19% revenue growth). Smaller businesses like Physical Stores (5% revenue growth) and Other (7% revenue growth) were better than expected too.

HONG KONG — A key piece of a little-told chapter of World War II history almost ended up in a landfill. That diary is now believed to be the only known primary source documenting the involvement of Chinese naval officers in the D-Day landings at Normandy. The 24 British-trained Chinese naval officers were forced to choose between the two sides, with many of them going on to have distinguished careers in the Chinese or Taiwanese militaries. Instead he settled down in Hong Kong, a British colony at the time, where he worked as a merchant seaman until the late 1960s. Given how integral these AI chips are to AMD's growth, we were pleased management on Tuesday night raised its full-year sales projections to exceeding $5 billion. Another factor: AMD's chips passed some performance milestones with customers, Su said. Routh’s attorneys noted the many instances when Trump has praised Cannon by name for her decision to toss the documents case, including during his acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention this summer. “I have no control over what private citizens, members of the media, or public officials or candidates elect to say about me or my judicial rulings,” Cannon wrote Tuesday. “This case, like the prior cited cases involving former President Trump, were randomly assigned to me through the Clerk’s random case assignment system. Special counsel Jack Smith is currently appealing Cannon’s dismissal of the documents case.
