TikTok's updated guidance notes that free shipping does not apply when it determines the shipping costs exceed "fair market price." TikTok acknowledged in its documentation that its free shipping subsidies may not last forever. Enter the sleepy girl mocktail. There are many things to consider before you add in — or rule out — a sleepy girl mocktail, he said. Setting a routinePart of what may make the sleepy girl mocktail helpful isn’t what’s in it as much as the routine of making and drinking it. Mocktails not cocktailsThe sleepy girl mocktail could help by kicking out the evening cocktail (or other alcoholic drink), said Dr. Marie-Pierre St-Onge, an associate professor of nutritional medicine at Columbia University. Maybe the sleepy girl mocktail works for you or maybe it doesn’t, but either way it’s crucial to establish your own version of a good night.

How to tell when a migraine attack is coming

The study team found that sleep quality and energy were important indicators of a migraine attack on the following day. Migraine preventionKnowing when a migraine is coming can make all the difference — especially with growing interest in treating one before it starts, Tepper said. A migraine attack isn’t just a headache. It makes sense that people might be conservative about using medication for migraine pain, Tepper said. “There’s no downside because rimegepant has almost no side effects and is not associated with transformation into chronic migraine,” Tepper said.

Temu was among the fastest-growing large websites in the US last year, according to a new analysis by Similarweb. When considering only websites with more than 10 million monthly visits, Temu came in second only to OpenAI, which saw its traffic grow by 2,690% in 2023 as AI exploded into the mainstream. The ad intelligence company told Modern Retail that Temu spent an estimated $517 million on US ads between September and December 2023. AliExpress, the Alibaba-owned online marketplace, was in third place behind Temu with year-over-year traffic growth of 290%. AliExpress was launched in 2010 but still saw significantly less traffic than Temu in 2023, with an average of about 24.2 million monthly visits.

Germany Can Cut Funding to Far-Right Party, Rules Court
  + stars: | 2024-01-23 | by ( Jan. | At A.M. | ) www.usnews.com   time to read: +1 min
KARLSRUHE, Germany (Reuters) - Germany can cut off state funding to the successor party to the far-right NPD even though it is not banned, the Constitutional Court said on Tuesday in a landmark ruling which adds fuel to a debate about whether the nationalist AfD could be penalised. The court in Karlsruhe justified its decision by saying the National Democratic Party (NPD) and its successor, Die Heimat, aimed to impair or eliminate the country's democratic system. The ruling is being closely watched as mainstream politicians struggle to respond to a surge in support for the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD), second in most polls with support of about 22%. Hundreds of thousands of people have taken to the streets across Germany protesting against the AfD after a report that some party members discussed policies such as mass deportations of people of foreign origin at a meeting of right-wing radicals. CNN —Treating loneliness and social isolation may put people classified as obese at a lower risk for health complications, according to a new study. Social isolation was found to be a greater risk factor for all causes of mortality, including cancer and cardiovascular disease, than depression, anxiety and lifestyle risk factors — which included alcohol, exercise and diet, according to the study. But the findings do point to improving “social isolation as a potential remedy for the reduction of mortality,” he said. “Think of maintaining a social network like any other health-promoting activity: exercising regularly, eating well, looking after yourself,” Canli said. And fatphobia can lead communities to make it harder for people with obesity to feel understood and accepted, she said.

CNN —More Republicans say they have had a harder time “thriving” in the last year than their Democratic counterparts, according to a new report detailing Americans’ perceptions of well-being. But the number of thriving Republicans continued to drop dramatically over the next three years to 51.7%, while thriving Democrats surged in the next year and has remained at around 55%. “Yet the thriving rate remains kind of doggedly low. “Demographically speaking, the thriving rate is going to go up with age and with income,” he said. Another factor for those more likely to thrive is whether they have a chance to learn new and interesting things, Witters added.

The complaint against Thread Bank lists five accounts that Wealth Assistants held with the bank, saying that CEO Ryan Carroll first noticed the accounts had been frozen on October 11. Carroll and Thread Bank did not return a request for comment from Business Insider on the suit. The timing detailed in the complaint aligns with Wealth Assistants' collapse. However, the lawsuit filed in early January describes Wealth Assistants as a "thriving business." Wealth Assistants filed a similar lawsuit against Bank of America in January 2023, claiming that accounts with more than $3.78 million in them had been closed without explanation.

“ The most preventive skin care product that anyone can use is sunscreen,” she added. That is why it might not be the best idea to try to curb a tween or teen’s skin care obsession by saying, “You shouldn’t care so much about skin care,” Hida said. It is also important to keep an eye on whether an interest in skin care is a normal part of self-exploration or a sign of deeper issues. Families are the experts on their kids, Hida said, and she suggests looking for signs like fixated worry over appearance or a rigid skin care regimen. Skin care itself isn’t concerning, but how a person responds to it is what determines whether it is healthy or not, Hida said.
