CNN —Prince Harry said it was “terrifying” to have his brother, Prince William, scream at him during his bitter split from the royal family, in the final installments of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s controversial Netflix documentary that were released Thursday. You kind of get used to that when you live within this family,” Harry added. Harry said he spoke to Queen Elizabeth II and arranged to meet her, with Meghan, before that split was finalized. Thursday’s release follows last week’s batch of episodes, in which Prince Harry criticized “unconscious bias” inside the family. CNN —The last three episodes of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix documentary series were released Thursday. Harry said Meghan’s popularity in particular caused problems at the palace, recalling similarities with his mother Diana, who married into the royal family and was beloved by the public. The couple recalled how media coverage started to turn negative, with Meghan increasingly associated with racist tropes such as drugs, criminality or terrorism. More controversy around Archie’s birthThe couple recalled how their desire to keep some privacy around the birth of their first child caused a significant backlash. “The amount of abuse we got … for not wanting to serve our child up on a silver platter was incredible,” said Harry.

London CNN —The UK may have been blanketed with snow this week, but you wouldn’t know it from the image on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Christmas card. The photograph, posted on the royal couple’s official social media accounts, shows them on a sunny family walk with their three beaming and bare-legged children: Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4. Earlier this week, King Charles III issued the first official Christmas card of his reign. It features the couple looking at each other, with the King in profile wearing a beige suit and striped tie and Camilla in a green hat and jacket. The final three episodes of the eagerly awaited Netflix docuseries from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are releasing on Thursday. Netflix split the six-part series into two volumes, with the first installment uploaded to its online platform last week at 3 a.m ET. However, there were few real bombshells or direct revelations about individual family members. The first three episodes of "Harry & Meghan" recorded 81.55 million viewing hours after its debut last Thursday, Netflix said in a statement. "Harry & Meghan" was the second-most watched English-language series on Netflix globally between Dec. 5 and 11, behind only Addams Family drama "Wednesday." "Harry & Meghan" was the number one English-language series during the week in Britain. The second batch of "Harry & Meghan" episodes will be released on Netflix on Thursday.
CNN —Meghan, Duchess of Sussex has said she was “fed to the wolves,” and Prince Harry discusses “institutional gaslighting” in a new trailer for part two of their highly-anticipated Netflix docuseries, which airs on Thursday. Everyone in the world knew where we were,” Meghan says. Similar to the format of the first three episodes, the trailer provides an intimate glimpse into the couple’s lives, with personal footage and pictures interspersed with media coverage. Tyler Perry, the filmmaker who offered his California house to the couple after they left their lives in the UK, also makes an appearance in the trailer. Buckingham Palace said it would not be commenting on the docuseries when the first part released last Thursday.
LONDON — A British charity led by a Black woman who says she was repeatedly pressed for information about her nationality by Prince William’s godmother, has suspended some its operations over safety concerns, it said Saturday. Sistah Space, which provides support to domestic violence victims of African and Caribbean heritage in London, made the announcement in a post on Instagram stories. “Unfortunately recent events meant that we were forced to temporarily cease many of our operations to ensure the safety of our service users and our teams,” it said. It added that the charity was “overwhelmed by the amount of support and encouragement and looks forward to fully reinstating as soon as safely possible.”NBC News has approached Sistah Space for further comment. “My team, family and I have been put under immense pressure and received some horrific abuse via social media,” the statement said.
At the start of their new, much-anticipated Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan,” the Duchess of Sussex — the woman formerly known as Meghan Markle — is asked what her motivations are for creating the documentary. The Oprah interview won Harry and Meghan a swell of support, but also prompted some audience anger. The royal family today must constantly justify its existence in the modern world. This is understandable: They’ve been out of the royal family for almost double the amount of time that Meghan spent within it. Harry and Meghan still have the potential to be a unique hybrid of unofficial statespeople, philanthropic ambassadors and celebrities with a near-celestial kind of star power.

LONDON, Dec 10 (Reuters) - Britain's Prince Harry and his wife Meghan have rejected criticism of a documentary about their lives, with a statement from their spokesman saying that the couple had never cited privacy as a reason for stepping back from the royal family. However, a statement issued by the couple's press secretary rejected this line of criticism. "The Duke and Duchess have never cited privacy as the reason for stepping back. This distorted narrative was intended to trap the couple into silence," the statement said, according to a report by the BBC. The statement highlighted that neither Harry nor Meghan had mentioned privacy when stepping back from royal duties in January 2020 and had expressed a desire to continue their public roles and duties.

Meghan Markle leans into her identity as a wide-eyed American in “Harry & Meghan,” the new series from Netflix chronicling the lives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. In it, Harry is her British straight man. And theirs is an untold love story, audiences are told, again and again. “This is a great love story,” Harry says. “And the craziest thing is, I think this love story is only just getting started.”

In a trailer for “Harry & Meghan,” the Netflix-abetted public service announcement on behalf of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle asked whether it didn’t make sense “to hear our story from us” especially “when the stakes were this high.” To which many Americans would likely answer “No” and “Are they really?”A viewer really has to be on board the royal soap-opera bus not to be bored out of one’s mind by “Harry & Meghan,” not that anyone on it rides a bus: The story of Meghan Markle, of the erstwhile “Suits,” and Prince Harry , of the perennial drama “The Windsors,” is one that involves matters of wealth, romance, monarchy, English vs. American racism, English vs. American tabloid journalism, family betrayals and what victimization really means. Also, the blinkered view of the main characters as to who they happen to be. “Anyone else in my situation would have done the same thing,” says the duke, referring to the couple’s decision to remove themselves from The Firm and live their life as non-royals. One wants to answer “ no one has ever been in your situation,” though the distinct peculiarity of the couple’s position is only brought up when convenient, depending on what is being argued in this six-part, one-sided series. Director Liz Garbus is a respected documentarian, but documentarians are propagandists by instinct and in the not-so-royals she has eager collaborators.
"Harry and Meghan" dethroned "Wednesday" as Netflix's top series in the US on Friday. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle struck a deal with Netflix in 2020 worth a reported $100 million. "Harry and Meghan" isn't the only piece of content featuring members of the royal family popular on Netflix. Anecdotally, "the younger people in the UK love Harry and Meghan, and the older people don't," Shalit said. "Netflix just wants to have the most-discussed programs in the world, and Meghan and Harry are everywhere throughout the world," he said.
Binance boss Changpeng Zhao accused Sam Bankman-Fried's Alameda Research of trying to drive down the price of Tether, according to the New York Times. The stablecoin’s collapse would likely trigger a crypto crash, analysts have warned. US federal prosecutors are already investigating Bankman-Fried for manipulating the price of both of those cryptocurrencies, the New York Times reported Wednesday. Having reached $1 again in July, Tether slipped away to fall to $0.9963 on November 10 as FTX's bankruptcy sent ripples through the crypto sector. Analysts have repeatedly warned that the stablecoin's collapse would cause a wider crypto crash — and argued that Tether poses a systemic risk to the crypto sector.
Prince Harry with Meghan Markle appeared in public together for the first time at the Invictus Games in Toronto. Aside from showing the story of their courtship, the six episodes of “Harry & Meghan” also look set to highlight long-running grievances that have roiled Britain's royal family for years. The British tabloids have intensely scrutinized Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, publishing stories about her estranged family following her engagement and marriage to Harry in May 2018. In addition, Harry is challenging in court a decision by the British government to deny him police protection while in Britain. “In the Netflix trailer it’s implied the photographers, including me, were trying to get a shot of the royal couple — but that’s nonsense,” he told the tabloid.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, pictured in New York earlier this week, have sealed deals with Netflix and Spotify worth about $120 million. LONDON— Prince Harry and Meghan Markle , Duke and Duchess of Sussex, launched their latest broadside at the British royal family, highlighting the institution’s historic links to slavery and the struggle that the biracial actress faced integrating into the house of Windsor during a television series for Netflix Inc. The first three episodes of the series, titled “Harry & Meghan,” tell the story of how the couple met, fell in love and their friction with paparazzi ahead of their wedding in 2018. “We’ve never been allowed to tell our story… until now,” said Ms. Markle in one episode. Three more episodes, detailing their split with the rest of the family, are expected next week.
"No one knows the full truth," Harry, 38, says in a trailer. It may be their truth but it certainly isn't one recognised by millions in this country," its editorial said. Within two years, amid rifts with royal aides as well as with Harry's brother William and his wife Kate, they quit their royal roles and moved to California to start new lives. I didn't want history to repeat itself," Harry says in one of the Netflix trailers. Polls indicate the majority of older people in Britain strongly dislike the couple, while younger Britons are much more sympathetic.
The first three episodes of the project, titled “Harry & Meghan,” were released on Thursday after months of speculation that the couple would star in a tell-all series. And Harry accuses the royal family of “unconscious bias” that blinded them to the struggles he and Meghan experienced in the years and months leading up to their dramatic departure. The couple have spoken before about the constraints placed on them while members of the royal family, and that frustration re-emerged repeatedly in the documentary. Harry also compared Meghan to his mother, Princess Diana, who died in a car crash while being chased by paparazzi in 1997. In the first episodes of the couple's much anticipated Netflix documentary series, Harry, who stepped down from royal duties two years ago with Meghan, said he accepted people would fundamentally disagree with that he had done. In the documentary, Harry draws comparisons with Meghan's treatment and the intense media intrusion that his mother Princess Diana had suffered. "This is about duty and service and I feel as though, being part of this family, it is my duty to uncover this exploitation and bribery that happens within our media," Harry said.
