Sometimes, I wonder if I'd fit better in society if I had just chosen to have kids. I didn't always know I didn't want kidsI didn't always know that I didn't want kids. Then, a month before a wedding that never happened, during a final argument with my ex, he blurted out, "You don't even like kids!" Whenever I tell people my partner and I don't want kids, I often hear, "You might change your mind." With my mom friends, I'm grateful for the mutual support and happiness we share, knowing we're each living the life we've chosen.

I must have the address where the party is happening and the phone number of an adult there. So I set some ground rules for my kids to party and for me to have peace of mind. We find a compromiseI miss the days when I knew most of my kids' friends and their parents and we all looked out for each other's offspring. Rule number two is that they have to always keep their location on and share it with us on their devices. Rule number three, one we just added, is that we need the contact info of whoever they believe is their most responsible friend.

The deal includes an agreement for Anthropic to use Amazon's AI chips more. The goal of all this money is mainly to get Amazon's AI chips to be used more often to train and run large language models. It's also going to help Amazon design future Trainium chips and contribute to building out an Amazon AI model development platform called AWS Neuron. The Information reported recently that Anthropic prefers to use Nvidia GPUs, rather than Amazon AI chips. In May, Bernstein analyst Stacy Rasgon told Business Insider he wasn't aware of any companies using Amazon chips at scale.

A Maryland man recently made a remarkable discovery in the Chesapeake Bay: An almost-whole human skeleton that appears to be at least a century old. NBC Washington reported George Oliver, who lives in Calvert County, was walking the shores of the bay on Nov. 4, looking for fossils, as he usually does. Oliver told the station that he could see the coffin, but that it was completely submerged in water. "When I first found it, you could not tell that there was human remains," Oliver told NBC Washington. When he found the coffin, Oliver assumed that leg bone might have been a part of the newly-discovered skeleton.
