CNBC's Jim Cramer on Friday previewed next week's important Wall Street action, suggesting it's wise to pay attention to a slew of retail earnings as well as reports from Dell and CrowdStrike . Tuesday is a big day for retailers, with reports from Best Buy , Abercrombie & Fitch , Kohl's , Macy's , Burlington Stores and Dick's Sporting Goods . He added that some retailers whose earnings weren't great still saw their stocks soar but others got badly dinged, like Target . He said investors might want to buy some Dell stock now and some after earnings if it pulls back. While stock action tends to slow during the rest of the holiday week, Cramer pointed out that on Wednesday the government will release the latest personal consumption expenditures index.

The interest rate outlook will come back into focus next week with key inflation data and Federal Reserve meeting minutes coming out ahead of Thanksgiving, as investors wrap up a major month for markets following President-elect Donald Trump's election victory. The October personal consumption expenditure (PCE) price index set to release Wednesday could dent already-dimming hopes for a December rate cut if it comes in hotter than expected. The inflation rate is expected to have increased 0.2% month over month and 2.3% year on year. Rosy expectations Even with the interest rate cut expectations coming in, investors are optimistic on the direction for stocks to close out the year and into 2025. Goldman Sachs' David Kostin this week said he expects the S & P 500 can end next year at 6,500.

The deal includes an agreement for Anthropic to use Amazon's AI chips more. The goal of all this money is mainly to get Amazon's AI chips to be used more often to train and run large language models. It's also going to help Amazon design future Trainium chips and contribute to building out an Amazon AI model development platform called AWS Neuron. CNBC's Jim Cramer on Thursday reiterated his longstanding belief in Nvidia and CEO Jensen Huang, saying that despite the concerns of some on Wall Street, demand for the artificial intelligence behemoth's products isn't slowing down. Nvidia posted earnings Wednesday that comfortably topped estimates. Nvidia has had a meteoric rise, with shares currently up more than 196% year-to-date, and the company has posted large earnings beats quarter after quarter. According to Cramer, supply isn't set to outpace demand. Some of Nvidia's biggest customers, like Microsoft , Meta , Amazon and Tesla will have to keep buying the products, he said.

AdvertisementNvidia's revenue surged 94% year-over-year last quarter, driven by solid demand for its GPU chips. The historic growth is expected to continue, with analysts estimating more than $200 billion in revenue next year. The company reported revenue of $35.08 billion in the quarter, representing a 94% year-over-year surge and a 492% increase from its third quarter in fiscal year 2023. The massive breakout in Nvidia's revenue growth occurred shortly after OpenAi introduced ChatGPT in November 2022, which was during the fourth quarter of its fiscal year 2023. If Nvidia can meet Wall Street's lofty growth expectations going forward, its stock price could extend its historic run.
