The very last moment sees various onlookers at the synagogue – including veteran actor Feldshuh – looking agog as Noah greets Joanne warmly. That moment, along with others, prompted reaction about how certain Jewish themes and tropes were handled in the series. For Rabbi Amanda Greene, a senior rabbi at the reform Chicago Sinai congregation in Chicago, some of it – even the parts that may have seemed somewhat extreme – rang rather true. “There is some truth in that the congregation wants to know what’s going on in the personal life of the rabbi,” she added. All that felt really good to see portrayed on TV.”As the first season of “Nobody Wants This” continues, Noah and Joanne imagine a possible future together.

Getting a drink in The Crooked House pub could feel intoxicating, even if you’d ordered a lemonade. As a result, the walls slouched sideways at a 16-degree angle, dizzying customers and delighting children. Buttresses and steel bars made the structure safe, but it remained charmingly askew, leading to its jokey designation as “Britain’s Wonkiest Pub.” (“Wonky” means “not straight or level” in the U.K.). In an optical illusion caused by the pub’s slant, patrons could roll marbles and coins on some of the interior’s surfaces and watch them seem to tumble uphill, as though gravity had magically reversed itself. When the building was sold to a private developer last month, patrons waited apprehensively to see what would become of the beloved local watering hole.

All of Breen’s films seem clearly to mean something, and watching them, one’s suspension of disbelief is constantly threatened by strange directorial choices. “Pass-Thru” culminates in his darkest sequence, with Thgil — another of the messianic aliens in which Breen specializes — walking toward the horizon’s vanishing point. “Fateful Findings,” which I and many others consider Breen’s most deranged film, exemplifies the tonal stiltedness and libertarian rage that pervades his work. For many audiences the natural response to Breen’s films is laughter. Breen plays a double role, twins Cale and Cade, bestowed at birth with superhuman powers and pitted against each other with potentially world-changing consequences.

What They Paid for Their Weddings

One couple spent less than $2,000 for an intimate wedding at a local hotel. Another paid $200,000 for an elaborate out-of-town affair. We asked six married women to share how much they spent on their weddings — and where they felt the money was well-spent, where it was wasted and what they wish they had done differently. Our suite had a terrace with romantic views of the city — and it had just snowed, so there was a magical, wintry feel too. Perfection.”Lowest Expense: “Our least expensive item were monogrammed masks, which were $14 for a set of five.” She bought the disposable face masks on Etsy.

But making it more popular than Twitter would be a big win for Mark Zuckerberg. Most Twitter users know that the platform comes alive during a breaking news event, such as Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Those paying average Joes are now prioritized in the feed, devaluing Twitter as a place to discover interesting people. A recurring theme on Threads: It's a nice place to hang out (for now...) Insider/Shona Ghosh/ThreadsThat niceness could be fragile and temporary. Threads may go the same way since, as the internet loves to say, we can't have nice things.

But the tug that Henry exerts on his father’s heart, while scarcely new, is ever more evident — in particular during the goodbyes that close the episode, when Ted can scarcely let go of Henry’s backpack. NateWhen we first run across Nate this episode, he is in bed in the morning. Upon waking, she quickly determines that, charmingly, Nate had already gotten up, showered, shaved, brushed his teeth and gotten back into bed. We’ve gone straight from romantic tension to romantic fulfillment without witnessing the romantic journey at all, at least so far. Which is perhaps part of the reason Nate’s most moving relationship is still his complicated one with Ted.
