Protesters attacked police and started fires in the northeast English city of Sunderland on Friday as violence spread to another northern city following Monday’s killing of three children in Southport.
Violent incidents have erupted across England following the murder of three girls at Taylor Swift-themed dance workshop.
Earlier on Friday, Prime Minister Keir Starmer made a second visit to Southport since the murders.
British police chiefs have agreed to deploy officers in large numbers over the weekend to deter violence.
