To mark Sexual Health Awareness Month this September, New York’s Walker Hotel Tribeca has introduced a “Self-Love Pod” offer, aimed at the recently single. When it comes to romantic partners, there’s no cheaper date than your own five digits, but rates for Walker Tribeca’s Self-Love Pods start at $350 – and that’s before you even buy yourself dinner. That’s quite a lot to shoot for, but it’s definitely one of the most fun ways to reduce cancer risk. If getting the peace and quiet to be oneself means booking a “Self-Love Pod” in Tribeca, then have at it, ladies.

While job growth in the sector faces uncertainty after the election, industry watchers say the future of energy production and consumption is always changing. The IRA is projected to generate more than 300,000 jobs annually for new energy project construction and about 100,000 permanent jobs each year, according to EESI. The rate was more than double the growth for the rest of the energy sector and the overall U.S. economy, according to the newly released 2024 U.S. Energy and Employment Report. Recent data from the Department of Energy showed clean energy employment increased by 142,000 jobs last year, accounting for more than half of new energy sector jobs. One sector that faces particular uncertainty after the election is clean energy, which has received a boost from the Biden administration but faced skepticism from Trump.

However, the trend is ruffling more than a few feathers, due to the airport security line being one of the top places in the world where it’s imperative to avoid dilly-dallying. Let’s also not forget that with all those shoes passing through security trays, you may as well be laying your items straight out on the floor. In 2018, a European study found that airport trays are the least hygienic part of the airport, carrying more germs than toilets. So while hand sanitizer doesn’t typically feature in these airport tray photos and videos, it should probably play a key part in the aftercare. “As long as the staged glamor photos are not causing delays or issues with other passengers in the checkpoint, there are no issues.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary added "Google" as a verb to mean searching for something on the web. "So long Google, the verb," wrote Mark Shmulik and fellow internet analysts at Bernstein Research in a note to investors. Related stories"Gen Zers, and especially Gen Alpha, barely use Google as a verb anymore, they simply say to 'search it'," Shumlik and colleagues explained. It might be concerned because when you're no longer a verb, that suggests you're no longer ubiquitous. So maybe Google is happy it's no longer a verb with the young folk?

In some ways, this presidential election has become a referendum on gender roles — and the generation with the biggest difference in opinion between male and female voters is Generation Z. On one side are young women, who as a group are very liberal, and who have been politically galvanized by gender bombshells like #MeToo, the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and the candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris. On the other are young men, some of whom feel that rapidly changing gender roles have left them behind socially and economically, and see former President Donald J. Trump as a champion of traditional manhood.
